Anybody elses character go from 70 back down to 60s?

Did you apply a boost to the affected character? If so, have you checked your Transaction History to ensure there wasn’t an issue in regards to the purchase?

If a boost was not applied and said character leveled manually to 70, then I would suggest performing a full UI reset (as detailed in Support article linked below) to rule out a misbehaving addon or corrupted UI.

Please note, this is not the same as disabling addons OR doing a /reload of your UI.

I’ve not heard of that happening. Do you have any specific characters that you believe that happened to, Liquidsnake? Name/Realm would help.

I have a lot of 70s and have not encountered this issue as of yet.

Are you sure you’re not mixing up the character with another of the same or similar name?

Ok so the lvl 70 have u played it since the lvl squish a few expacs ago.

I’m currently limited by what I can see, due to some of the recent updates I can’t see all characters on all realms unless I look them up specifically… So I can’t see what other characters you may have on Hyjal, but I imagine Tea might be correct.

To cover the mentioned character, looking at MagĂŞ, the last leveling achievement that character received was the one for achieving level 50. That achievement was earned November 25, 2020, which I believe is when you logged in after the Shadowlands level squish that took that character from 120 to 50.

The inventory the character seems to be level 50, from a Gear Update, which was done on 7/9/24 before that date, the character inventory is dated from 2021 and is considered level 50ish items. There isn’t any indication that it was level 70 or had level 70 items.

I don’t think the achievements are a good judge at the moment. My Warrior Sharde says that he earned the level 70 achievement back in 2022, but he has never been anywhere near level 70. He’s only level 63. I would assume the current achievement war-band bugs are accounting for this.

Edit: the five characters I checked all say they dinged lvl 70 on the same day. None of them are level 70. So yeah, the achievement it probably account wide now and it has the date from the first character to reach that threshold.

Thanks for the name.

The last leveling achievement I show on that character is on 4/29/24 to level 60. The only level 70 achievement (not counting the legacy ones from before the level squish from Shadowlands) is the one for Liquidsnakè, which was May of this year.

If you hover your cursor over the date, see if it says “Earned by your Warband.”

Which character?

I don’t see any indication that Solidsnakie was boosted. They acquired level 45 on 8/23/22, level 50 on 4/28/24 and level 60 on 4/29/24. That looks like normal progress. If it were boosted I would see multiple leveling achievements earned on the same date/time.

You appear to have used the War Within level 70 boost on Liquidsnake, taking it from 23 to 70 on 5/8/24. Two days after you purchased the War Within.

I see a Solidsnakè was boosted, from 14 to 50 back in 2022, but obviously not the same character.

i was a level 70 did it manually way way back during BC…just decided to start playing again after wow…15 years and now im a 46!! what?

  1. Please be mindful of the dates when posting.
  2. 70 was the level cap for The Burning Crusade expansion. There was a level overhaul in Shadowlands where characters levels were squished down due to levels getting pretty high, and it turning players a bit away from levelling new characters or bringing new players to the game.
