Character Clone $35 each!? Some people have 10 Characters!

$35 each Way too much PER Character.

The Fresh Starters won’t care. Some of us have 10 characters and have a large community we play with. The RP Community is completely being set aside here. Especially with having to remake Guilds even after a Paid service.

When you sent out your questions about how much someone would pay for a clone, they only had 1 character in mind.

Clones should be free and if they are priced the cost shouldn’t be higher than $10 per character maximizing at $100 per server!

The incentive to play on Classic is none existent and they just want us to move with the herd. Waiting this long to announce this is messed up. Minimizing the window for a backlash or a change of price. I was stating to believe in you again Blizzard.

Classic saved your company. Stop crapping on us.

I bet a lot of folks have not only multiple 60s but also multiple bank alts. So enjoy sorting out what you wanna keep or bring with you into tbc/classic new era. Otherwise each bank alt is another 35 bucks a pop

I feel bad for the people who just wanted Classic and had no interest in moving on. I’m just going to clone one of my toons, but Blizzard basically screwed over the most die-hard Classic players who don’t want to advance to TBC and have lots of toons.

So true. This has to be coming straight from the money grabbing top. I’m telling you right now I’m not playing Wrath. They are going to Nerf Wintergrasp and kill the open world aspect of it.

Why? If you just want to stay on Vanilla that doesn’t cost anything. The $35 is if you want to clone the character to be on Vanilla and TBC Classic

They gonna be screwed over anyway mate. They aren’t merging servers for classic new era. Id not be surprised if atleast 70% of all the current playerbase goes to TBC… and thats prolly a low estimate. Its more likely to be 80-90% per server. So enjoy your dead realms on classic new era or play their pserver version of TBC with the ingame cash shop on the horizon

They pretty much said to come back home only to be kicked into the basement. Let us play where we want without making it a chore or burn our pocket.

Imagine if you had to pay to play TBC instead of Pay to keep your characters uninterrupted in Classic. Leave us alone.

This is an MMORPG. not COD. Make your choice. When did choices stop mattering in MMOs? Ohh yeah with retail where you can get everything you want and instant gratification. Decide which one you want to play. MMOs should not be handout central.

Ummm, People that want to stay on Classic only will be fine and have no additional fee.

The cloning service is only for people who want to play BOTH Vanilla and TBC (since they are split products).

Is this why people have been up in arms over this? Because they just don’t understand how it works in the first place?

I think Classic will be fine and we are most likely getting connected realms. The $35 fee is indefensible, that’s absurd and costs more than a lot of games lmao. If I was fully naxx geared, I’d actually be afraid of regretting moving on to BC if you aren’t cloning.

It’s because they all assume they know how its going to work. They always think blizzard is going to do what THEY want and not make things cost too much. They think that EVERYONE is a dad gamer now and has little time to play. They think their situation is everyone’s situation. They don’t realize that Blizzard has always done this and will continue to do so. They keep assuming they know what blizzard will do and they complain every time.

This is something they’ve never done before. It’s cool they’re giving us choices. I have a bunch of alts. If I wanted to clone any toon, I’d pick one and send that toon all my gold now.

Wait I could be wrong, but isn’t this price ONLY for people who want both? The players who only want classic and nothing else get to go to their servers for free

No.

All characters are moving to TBC. If you want to stay Classic-only, you need to pay $35 per character to copy onto the Classic-only realms.

Do you plan to play all 10 in both classic and TBC?

To use your own reply:

That’s NOT how ANY of this works!

Read this, before you spew out more misinformation on how that works:

That’s not the point. Some people have no interest in playing TBC. For example, the people that wanted Classic the most. Now, those players will need to pay $35 for every toon if they want to continue playing Classic-only on the new Classic-only servers.

Really screws over people who enjoy Classic RP and have lots of alts.

NO! That’s NOT what is happening!

You only have to pay the fee if you want to have them in classic AND TBC

Thank you for pointing that out. I misread what was occurring and I was wrong.

I just assumed the worst since Blizzard is basically gouging and gutting TBC anyway with pay mounts and boosts.

Make no mistake–the small pre-patch window is to increase the number of paid boosts.
