Character boosting problem

I bought the deluxe for my self and my father,

Logged into my account decided to boost a orc hunter named zookeeper
Did everything I had to do double checked everything and he turned into a warrior (very weird)

I already made my ticket but just wanted to let everyone know to be careful
Something may be going on
Hopefully I can get this fixed up

Cheers to blizzard for making a great game

We’ve been seeing a few reports of this happening. A ticket is the best way to go so a Game Master can take a look.

We currently have a report in for investigation but if someone manages to record this happening, that might help in the investigation.

Awesomeness ,
Just outta curiosity what’s the chances of getting this situation fixed??

I can’t guarantee it, but as far as I know our staff should be able to help in this situation. Keep in mind, reports are still emerging and things are still being verified and policies updated, but that was the last update I saw.

this has also happened to me and other people

same thing happened to me

The exact same thing happened to me. I submitted a ticket as well - was trying to make an orc hunter, double checked hair style, class and name and clicked boost - bam, I’m a warrior. I thought I was just tired but apparently this has happened to quite a few folks, so I do hope this is resolved for me and everyone else.

P.S. as a side note for your developers, I think the issue is caused by the line of code that defaults characters to Warrior when changing races. Although we are not changing races before clicking boost, I’m sure that particular code might be interacting with the boost in some way. Just an idea to take a look at possibly. Thanks for being awesome!
