Hello Blizzard, idk if this is a bug or if it was a human error. I had to delete the Drenei paladin that I wanted to boost and then recreated a human paladin of the same name (I’m 99% sure at least) and then I boosted that new character. When I got logged in I quickly realized that my new human with the right name is a Warrior and not a Paladin. I’m now feeling like crap because I just bought the deluxe edition and I got boosted as a Warrior instead of my actual top choice. My characters name is Invictas on Whitemane, and I’m sincerely trying to be a Paladin, if someone could help me out I would be hugely grateful. I’ve been a WoW subscriber for years and this one hurts.
Known bug. You’ll need to submit a support ticket.
Thanks for the reply man, I just submitted an ingame ticket as well.
Please be sure to mention that you believe this is due the known bug with boosts.
You would be surprised at how just that added info night change the response, as by default GMs are hands off with boost mistakes.
For what it is worth without having been sitting over your shoulder j am almost 100% certain you did everything right and the bug changed the class on you.
I had the same issue - my selected class (hunter) turned into a warrior (must be some sort of hidden default).
Anyways, my ticket took 48 hours to get a response which stated the boost would be refunded within 3-10 days, and a note to just purchase a new one if I still wanted to boost.
Of course, I cannot purchase another boost while waiting because only one boost can be used per account, and the failed boost is still showing on the account.
Hey Dawnie, can you boost a new character on that same account, or does it only mean that if you want to boost ever again you can only unlock that same boosted character again. So maybe we’d have to make a new account?
No, it means that they can purchase another boost where currently Classic accounts can only use one single boost.
They’ll be able to use it on the character of their choosing.
