Character boost => Realm transfer cooldown

I recently decided to come back to WoW classic for the WOTLK release. I had not played in a couple years.

I got the character boost and used the boost on the server I was set on when I last played. Unfortunately everyone I used to play with no longer logs in, and the server is not where I would like to play.

I saw there was a 72 hour cooldown when you used a boost to transfer, but it has now been 92 hours since I boosted, I believe based on when I received my email and logged in, and I still get the error message saying it’s been too short of a time before I can transfer.

What can I do to get a transfer for this character? I want to move to the Westfall US server, it is not a full server so I assumed it was not because of that.

Thank you for any input or help I can get with this issue.

From what I can see, Obsequious, you used the boost 9/11 23:35 UTC, which should put the 72 hour mark at 9/14 23:35 UTC, which was about an hour ago.

Have you tried within the last hour?

Thank you so much! I had not tried and just did again and it worked, I appreciate your time! I should have just waited another few hours.

Have a great night!

72 hour wait is hard coded in. The OP knew this.

Various Character Services have cooldowns, Socksy. That is the one for character boosts.

There are a lot of moving parts when it comes to character services. By having a cooldown it helps to avoid some complications that can happen if the purchase experiences an issue, or the service is purchase fraudulently. An issue with the service itself could result in the character getting into an unplayable state.

If you weren’t looking for a reply, why did you bother to post the message not once, but twice? If you are simply bored and looking to troll I’d pick another activity. If you were actually seeking some clarification I hope that helps.

I imagine it was because the OP assumed more time went by then actually did, which can happen a lot when waiting for something and when you don’t have an exact time to go off of.

They made the post because they thought something was wrong. Clarity was provided that they were simply a day ahead of where they actually were, as Vrak provided.

That is something that cannot be done over the forums. You need some patience.

And the hyperbole/trolling isn’t gonna help.

All digital purchases can take up 24hrs anything longer and a probelem with purchase ticket needs to be opened Vrak can look into it but cant speed it up.

There aren’t Customer Support staff sitting around waiting to approve your boost, assuming you mean your purchase of the Northrend Heroic Update. And by 3 agents I assume you are attempting a slight at our staffing.

Again, I would caution against trolling here.

No one can approve your boost. If you made a recent purchase it can take a little time for all aspects of it to become available on the account.

As George Burns would say: Goodnight Gracie…

To be clear, Socksy, you really have no idea what you are talking about. Any notable loss we may have had in CS was from 2012. As for any other events, again, you really don’t have any insight and I’ll thank you not to attempt to use that or any other event in order to attempt to score points.

As Obsequious has received their answer and you are in fact just here to troll, I’ll be closing this.
