Character Boost Question

Apologies if this is common sense or noted somewhere and I just cannot find it:
Since prepatch is Tuesday, how exactly is a character boost purchased? Do you pre-load funds to your account to prepare for that Tuesday or will it prompt for a credit card purchase when selected? I’ve only ever done a subscription so not sure how this works and if we should be preparing for Tuesday.

I presume it will be in the store and you can buy it like any other boost. We’ll find out on Tuesday.

If you never bought anything in game before, it’s pretty simple.

On the character screen. You will click on the store button, and select what you want to purchase, in this case the boost.

It will ask which character you wish to apply this to.

Once that is done, you will confirm your payment. It will use whatever card that you have on file, and ask for your cvs number.

You will get an email immediately after the purchase is confirmed, just in case you were not the one who made the purchase, and for your personal records.

Thank you this is very helpful. So is the boost different for TBC classic where it just creates the character instead of selecting an existing character and boosting the level?

I think you’ll need to at least make a level 1 character to boost. You can use it on an existing character of course. You’ll need to create the character you want to boost if it doesn’t exist so you can customize it and name it.

You can probably create a new boosted character the same way that you can on retail. In this case their should be an option to create a boosted character, I am going by retail on this one, but I am thinking the options will be similar.

You would pay the same way.

You press alt + f4 and then you go to your blizzard launcher, then click on World of Warcraft, click the cog symbol next to the play button and then click the button that says ‘Uninstall’.

Should do the trick.

More power than you could imagine.

Hey I know how to scare this one.

RaF was in TBC and enabled you to have infinite 58 toon boosts.

So blizzard is actually doing the game a favor by removing infinite 58 boosts.

“THIS LOOKS LIKE RETAIL I DON’T LIKE IT NO CHANGES REEEE” - an idiot.

I like that you’re signing your posts now.

Don’t believe the level boosting came till wrath. Could be wrong.

But why should we make the same mistakes as the first time? These are the things that lead to the death of WoW. It’s why you sit on retail struggling to find purpose. Let’s do it right this time and keep classic great. Swipers stay on retail

Yes because levelling faster with a friend = instant paid boost. Big brain logic strikes once again!

RaF came late TBC. The level boost came in late MoP.

It was like triple XP and was probably in wrath prepatch or close to it.

But like you said still not instant boost to 58. You were atleast leveling with someone and teaching them the ropes

I’m not sure but it could have been in 2.3 when they reduced the amount of XP needed from 1-60.

Just because your credit is so bad that you cannot even get a credit card does not mean everyone is supposed to suffer with you dude.

Yeah, you did ‘say it’. You admitted your bias in this discussion. Thanks for that.

Based off the reasons I’ve been suspended from the forums for, I suspect you’re going to take a good ol’ vacation soon.

Classism.

Nah I just like to PLAY the game and enjoy environments where everybody has to put in time to get their rewards. It builds a stronger community and generates stronger people.
