hi! i just preordered tww and i’m trying to apply my character boost to a class trial character that i made a while ago, but every time i try to use it, nothing happens. the boost is there, i can pick my spec and all that, but nothing happens when i hit ‘level up’. am i unable to boost a (pretty old) class trial character, or is this just an ongoing bug and i need to wait for a fix? thanks!!
edit: just to update anyone who may have this same very specific issue and stumble upon this thread: i made a ticket, and the solution was to simply delete the character and remake it. i was assured that i would be able to use the same name (which is the reason i wanted to boost that character in the first place), and the boost worked as intended on the fresh character. many thanks to the GMs that helped, and those who suggested solutions here!! 
If you JUST bought the preorder, you might need to wait up to 24 hours for your bank and blizz to communicate that you purchased it, so you probably won’t be able to use it until it goes through.

oops yes i just bought it, like an hour ago 
i just assumed i’d be able to use it right away, since it already gave me the heroic edition mount and stuff, but i’ll give it more time. thank you!!

Digital purchases can take up anywhere from 24hrs to 72 hrs most things are intsant boosts can take a bit.

When you look at your bank app, you’ll see it says pending. I’m guessing sometime tomorrow it will say it’s complete, and then that’s when you’ll be able to use it. But feel free to try every now and then.

so the transaction was marked complete this morning, but i’m still unable to use my boost. 
exact same thing as before: the boost is still on the character selection screen, but nothing happens when i try to level up my selected character. i’m a little worried that it’s because it’s a super old class trial character (i really want to boost this specific character because of the name), but i don’t know. 
You could try submitting a ticket to se if that can help.

Did you by chance ever have a boost removed from any characters resulting in them being locked? That would require that you first fix that boost prior to being able to do any other boosts unfortunately.
Here’s hoping one of our amazing Blues has a moment to see if anything stands out to them that might help point you in the right direction.

nope, i’ve boosted maybe two or three characters before, and i believe they’re all still playable! i’ll wait a bit to see if i get a reply here, and if not i’ll submit a ticket. thank you!!
