Honestly, yeah. They can put the old system back in where it was something like $15? to do an appearance change.
And before anyone says #nochanges, just remember this has 0 impact on the game and only puts money in Blizzards pockets by making a player happy they might be able to change their appearance.

AFAIK, historically, Blizzard added a sex change feature at one point. But that was binary. How do you propose gender changes to work?

With so many new changes, they should add faction change and dual spec as well. More money for Actvi$ion Blizz

The same way they worked before, there is a paid appearance change on the store that allows you to basically recreate you toons features / gender, does not allow race/faction which is the only way this becomes a problem. if someone want to make there toon a male that is female or change there hair colour it shouldn’t matter to any other player but will make that person a lot happier playing the game.

Well when the appearance change originally come out in WOTLK a gender swap was part of it.

Well whether is was under appearance change or gender swap, I cant remember that far back. Point remains its all cosmetic and wont affect any other player, however I will be a lot more happy with my toon if I could switch gender
What’s stopping you?
There’s no sex-change feature implemented in the game atm, but that’s not to say you can’t identify as any gender across the spectrum of all possible genders.
