Character 110 boost but cannot join love is in the air dungeon

I bought the BFA expansion recently and it came with a 110 character boost so I figured why not boost the mage. I’m sorry if I sound like a noob but when I queue for crown chemical dungeon it opens after a few minutes but then it doesn’t let me zone in.

I get a notice “boosted characters cannot join legacy raids and dungeons, please try again tomorrow” it’s been doing this since last night. Is there something I need to do on my end to fix. My friends want to help me get some transmog gear and a few more mounts :stuck_out_tongue:

I believe the restriction is in place for 24 hours exactly from the time you boosted. So if you boosted at 5:22pm yesterday, then you won’t be able to access the dungeon until 5:22pm today.

There’s nothing you need to do on your end other than wait for the restriction to be removed on its own.

Nope, that’s hard coded. Once 24 hours expire down to the second from when you boosted, you’ll be able to do old content on that character.

I thought the restriction was from the time you first logged in to a boosted character rather than the time you performed the boost.

The Support article doesn’t seem to speak definitively, but the wording suggests from the moment the boost is applied.

Does anyone know why they put this limitation in place to begin with? I assume something could get abused if they didn’t, just not sure what.

Fraud prevention, in large part. It hamstrings gold farmers.
