playing TBC sounds weak. Seems like there must be more to it than that. There is prize money and prestige to be lost- why ditch that?
Anyway, destruction locks are amazing in 9.2, and the last three days showed
Every time I see them on Twitch they are playing TBC. So maybe they do not care for retail anymore ? not sure. join their stream and ask them if you are concerned.
They’ve both already won at the highest level, and they don’t like retail (i think many of us don’t, but God this game is addictive).
The prize pools are a joke. So why would they come back?

They’re absolutely making more off twitch streams
If TBC is more fun for them they can play more and stream more = more money
If they play live and aren’t having fun streaming is just miserable
Like playing games as your job is cool and all but when you need to be entertaining to maintain getting $ off your community if you hate playing the game it’s pretty miserable ngl, better for your income to stream what you like

they make more money streaming than competing and they don’t like retail. last time i watched chan play retail he got dampened by double feral in 2s and started playing circus music

They are sick to death of Shadowlands PVP. I think Chanimal has a video on YT about it.
The prize pool is utterly pathetic compared to what it used to be years ago. Blizz pretty much pulled all of their Esport funding. Not worth the time, effort, and stress of playing in a tournament when they can make more streaming on twitch.
