Just wanted some clarification before I go through with this.
So my 6 month sub renews in March. If I were to change it to the 12 month, would it charge me immediately? or wait till March. Also would it let me have the nightmare emerald drake right away? Because that’s the reason I wanna change it. I’ve had an active sub for the majority of the last decade anyway so It’s not like it’ll be wasted.
If anyone can give me a concrete answer before I do it that’d be greatly appreciated.
Changing to the 12 month likely would charge you up front for the new rewards in the current 12 month offer, especially if you only had a 6 month subscription before this newest offer on the 12 month sub. Essentially you probably will be charged up front, get the game rewards currently offered with the latest 12 month sub plan, and have a renew date somewhere in March 2025.

It used to explicitly state so on the product page, but definitely err on the side of it charging immediately, as it has in the past.
Also bear in mind that the offer is not guaranteed to stick around indefinitely. I was asking for a friend as well when it first popped up about three weeks ago, so if that same timeline is true, you have five more weeks to grab it.

so it will probably charge me right away, but it’ll still renew a year after my original expiration, so it’s not wasting any duration? well that’s annoying but at least I’m not losing out on any time. I’ll think on it a bit more. reward or not it’s still overall a savings assuming I play consistently (which I most likely will). Thanks man

If it is anything like the 12 month sub they started last year, yes, you will be charged up front, but the time wont start until any current time is used up. Then, it would be one year from that date, not from when you actually paid for it.

well I’m glad I looked into this… apparently you only get the drake if you do it before oct 31st so I’m not gonna bother right now. I appreciate the replies though guys thanks.
I’m pretty sure you can get them still. I switched to the 12 month plan and paid upfront on November 3rd. I’m not sure when the offer ends though.
