Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options

Thanks for the clarification. :grinning:

I don’t see this lasting. I will be surprised if this isn’t reverted by next week, if not sooner.

Poor decisions made by the lead designer causing player numbers to trickle down really fast

Suit #1: What do we do? We must improve our situation
Suit #2: Make one game time option, 60 days for 29.99. That will cover our losses
Suit #1: OMFG YOU ARE A GENIUS

I think what bothers me the most is this:

Edit: Never mind, my brain saw “interview” and not “review”. That’s my mistake. Although it still doesn’t make sense to me, and I would like some kind of actual information in front of me so I could digest said information.

Totally agree. What a crappy move you guys. You really are just grabbing what you can here.

It’s like every announcement you make you’re falling on your face harder.

This must be why they got rid of downvotes.

This is so stupid and such a bad idea. Some people may not be able to pay that much. There should be multiple options for people to pay. Bad move on there part.

Here’s a tip:

Why don’t you pay all of our subs and THEN tell us “lol get over it it’s all still there”.

So, you can still get 30 days if you sub up, and then just cancel your sub after your payment goes through?
In other words, this is a useless change.

You have to pay cash/credit for a sub though. I honestly can’t remember the last time I payed in anything other than buying tokens with gold, this change just forces me into longer time increments instead of being able to play a month here and there and then take a break.

[Everyone disliked that.]

This is a senseless change. The only benefit for blizz is showing shareholders they have subs. I liked buying 30day game time from the store without subbing.

They’re banking on you forgetting

So if I want to gift game time to a friend, I can no longer just toss fifteen bucks down, and instead I’ve got to buy them twice that?

To everyone: Ignore the people defending this change. They don’t understand how real life money commitments work.

And again you can still buy 15$ 40 day time, using the recurring sub, and simply cancelling it if you dont have enough money next month.

What a weird and unnecessary change.

you can still buy 30 day subs, and 90. and 180 freely using real cash, so if someone cant pay for 2 months, i am sure they can pay for 1 month.

Where’s this mythical 40 day sub option?

AND CAN I BUY IT WITH BATTLE.NET BALANCE???

I guess just like they’re forgetting that we can’t see the sub numbers…I wonder if they’re going to release them and go…
“Look at how many subs we have! We’re going great!”

Idiotic worthless change that added more steps to a simple process

You know, all this does is make it so I have no desire to return once my game time runs out. I typically sub monthly using the “buy 30 days” option because I’m a father of 7 and no, I don’t have a lot of personal time. When I do, it’s more economical for me to then buy a 30 day token so I can play for a couple weekends, let it lapse, and then play for the next couple of weekends when I know I have time again.

This means you’re telling me you don’t want my money and that I should drop playing this game for a game that doesn’t require a subscription at all. I have quite the backlog so that won’t be too hard, but please do reconsider this. I enjoy playing this game, but not at the rate of game time purchased that you want me to.
