Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options

Time to watch people weirdly freak out over this.

Can someone explain this to me, like Iā€™m five.

What the difference is between game time and subscription because my pea brain is malfunctioning trying to figure out the difference.

Subscription = Game Time

Does it not?

I donā€™t know what is up with the scuffed wording of things by Blizzard as of late. But could it likeā€¦ stop please.

No, not the cc info, but your name, address, gaming interests, info the bnet app gathers, etc etc, itā€™s in the eula, you agree to let them sell your info like some cheap clickbait site.

No dramas  glhf

For those of you who just cannot understand

This is game time
This is subscription
They are two separate things.

you can still 1 month sub.

Good job Blizz, another way to quickly fill the pockets of a greedy CEO trying to kill the game and cash out as much as he can.

  1. they dont
  2. that info they already have weither you use sub or game time, idk why using sub suddenly changes what info they have on you?

We fully understand.

You donā€™t.

I can no longer get 180 days of game time at the same price using bnet balance. Which is my preferred method of payment.

For me to get 180 days of game time at the same price, I have to use a credit/debt card.

I want to be able to use bnet balance. I canā€™t.

That is the issue.

On the bright side bots will have to pay for 2x subscriptions and hopefully get banned before the for the first 30 days

Sub= when your time runs out, it gives you new time
game time= you have a month, you buy 2 more months ontop of that

Sub= automatic
Game time= automatic

Not in the purchasing sense.

A sub is charged monthly, on the same date, each time. Game time purchases can be done at any point, added onto a sub, etc.

In this case, one is about incoming commitment, the other is just a flat rate. For the people who sub, theyā€™re not losing anything because the established commitment is there. For the people who just purchase game time, and do not actually sub (AKA, commit), they must now commit to purchasing two months as opposed to just one.

In other words, this change grabs more money from people who purchase game time without subscribing. It feels like a cheap tactic.

I believe that showing large numbers to shareholders is better than offering more options to your customers. This change does not benefit anyone at all.

what kind of idiot at blizz thought this was a good idea?

you still can buy 30 day increments by simply using the recurring sub.

Incorrect, if you just use a playtime card or refillable debit card that info is not easily discovered, nor should it be, Like most predatory corporations built on the backs and infrastructure of Americans, we get betrayed, they pay NO taxes, and then move to foreign soil.

Thats not really the point. Some people donā€™t have a debit card or donā€™t have the finances to consistently have that $15 same time every month.

I understand if the 90 day or 180 day time just didnā€™t have a user base, but I know plenty of players that used the $15 30 day time.

This a weird choice that isnā€™t explained that hurts people that donā€™t sign up for a subscription.

This is incredibly frustrating as someone that can only pay for game time with Bnet balance from gold due to current finances. So now Iā€™m forced to waste more gold/balance without any deals, yet you still make the same amount of money from your end of the token purchase.

I dont pay via sub though. I might a month at a time, but not every month. I might skip 3 months and come back for 1.
Now i would have to sub, then cancel my sub.
PITA

I want to buy 30 day increments USING BATTLE.NET BALANCE.

Or, even better, 180 day increments so I can get a better price per month.
