Changes to Purchasable Game Time Options

Lol I mean how will you feel of your cell phone, ISP Cable, car insurance, mortgage payment, Netflix, Disney+ etc etc all started to change for 2 months instead of monthly payment?
Pretty sure people are going to be piss and look for something else. Good job blizzard in willing your own sub base.

Greed, Greed and Greed. I feel like I shouldn’t be surprised to see this from Blizzard Activision, but it still pisses me off all the same.

Who’s excited to pay an extra $40 a year to play a game that is already riddled with greedy business practices.

?

Wait nobody wanted that

Just found out about this today when I tried buying a 6 month sub with my token credits. My price increased from like $72 to $90. Blizzard greed! This sucks!

But why…

Watch they will come out with some lame excuse.

too late, they already have, it’s in the blue post at the top of the page, ie the announcement.

Blizzard response: “What you guys don’t have credit cards?”
I have made this joke before but i couldn’t resist

I spent the last five minutes on a “please wait while we take care of some business” as I try to subscribe for a single month using the subscription feature.

I’m going to complain about how long it takes to set up a subscription when I cancel it in a few days along with the absurdity that is just removing my ability to purchase 30 days at a time quickly.

I just logged onto WoW for the second time this month so I could help out a family member with game-time (for the last time). This thread had me thinking about things like pricing. So I looked into it a bit.
$15 USD = $18.91 CAD (currently, but the trend w/ the Canadian dollar has it between 18-19 dollars for the last year)
We currently pay $21.99 CAD for one month. That’s $3 more than the exchange rate. Since they want 60 days @ $43.99 CAD, that’s over $6 that shouldn’t be there.
Literally being your closest, friendly, neighbour… how do you expect me to believe that the extra $6 is somehow necessary? Our countries have been doing business for over a century. Even Amazon doesn’t screw us this hard and it’s Amazon FFS.
Then the last realization hit me, I have 3 days until my game-time runs out… so suck it Acti-Blizzard. lol.
My deepest condolences to those screwed over by this. I suggest finding another company worthy of your money. To those that stay because this doesn’t affect them, well, my condolences for the future because they’ll come for you too, in time.
Oh, and just to annoy the white knights… that 6+ Million sitting on my alts, yeah, it can rot away with my account. Wheeeeeeeee!! lmao.

So for me, this change pretty much ends my Wow playing days after over 15 years. I use prepaid credit cards to buy my time and you can not use prepaid credit cards to buy subs. So now I am forced to buy 60 days time and I usually only play for a few weeks and then take time off. So a two month sub is not worth the money to me. I guess blizzard finally found a way for me to quit the game.

I needed to quit WoW anyways. After 16 years its time to move on, the expansions get progressively worse although Legion was awesome. Plus nothing feels new to me anymore. I have had plenty of time though for other games and enjoying my time spent elsewhere.

blizzard tho naaaaa

No you don’t. You’ve turned this game into a time played metrics nightmare and now you’re trying to scam people out of more money for a game that has received virtually no attention since it’s launch.

Scumbag company

They removed the option to buy game time without a recurring sub. That’s the problem, that’s why people don’t get. It’s a pointless change that MAKES NO SENSE.

No, they did not totally remove it. You can still buy game time without a sub in a 60 day block. What they removed were some of the other game time cards/blocks. Here is what the current payment options are now.

Description Cost (USD) CC PayPal Debit Bnet Bal WoW Token
:clock930: 1 Month Day reoccuring Subscription* $14.99 X X X
:clock11: 3 Month reoccuring Subscription* $41.97 X X X
:clock12: 6 Month Day reoccuring Subscription* $77.94 X X X
:flying_disc: WoW 30 day game time token (with gold) Gold
:credit_card: 60 day Game Time Card/Block $29.99 X X X X
:dollar: Battlenet Balance (your account)** Flex X X X X
:money_with_wings: Gifted Battlenet Balance Flex X X X

*If you don’t want your Subscription to automatically renew, wait for it to clear the payment (several days), then cancel the Sub on the account. You can do this every month if you like.

I liked being able to buy 180 days added to my game time? Why would you do this?
