IK, but you still lumped them with the word “poor”, and I find that to be peculiar. I don’t see how this change is affecting minorities, though, specifically.
DW Pistol purifier. Never had as much fun playing an ARPG as playing that.
and so they can unsub, nothing has changed, they can sub for 1 month then unsub right after, nothing has changed.
LMAO at Blizzard this xpac and even more so at that warlock that’s posted nonstop like 300 times in this thread alone trying their hardest to do as much damage control as possible and pretending like less options for players are a good thing and that this change has nothing to do with the absolutely obvious corporate greed.
That has to be a gm or something because who, and why would anyone ever work that hard to defend such a universally hated and greedy decision if they weren’t getting some sort of kickback? IDK if that’s hilarious or just embarrassing and sad. All three I guess.
How can anyone defend this decision?
The only arguments I’ve seen against people who don’t like the change are “Well ackshually, it’s game time, not subscriptions” (we know), and “You can just unsub before it renews” (we know).
Boo Blizzard Boo, you use to be a company to believe in and now that papa activision is involved you continue to fall more and more every month
at least announce 1 week before doing it. Another imposition by Blizzard
Yeah, reading through this thread I was getting very tired of the
“It’s not removed because you still have [other option which wasn’t removed because it’s not the same thing Blizzard got rid of]”
followed by
“But it’s the same thing because you can [describes a process with different steps and requirements that make it a different thing from the option that was removed]”
and
“You should be able to do this easily because [poster doesn’t believe when people say they have different situations that prohibit the method the poster is suggesting]”
“Nothing has changed… [except for the part where you have to chose a option that’s listed as a separate product in the shop (sub instead of discrete payment), use a different payment method than you did previously (can’t use Blizzard Balance or certain other payment methods anymore), and then take an extra step to use a loophole in the system that Blizzard definitely won’t inform players about or remind you to use.] Stop complaining about it changing.”
Sub price increased for Australians…
R.I.P WOW my game time ends in october. Farewell!
Doing this without any kind of notice in advance is yet another bad look for Blizz on top of all the other stuff recently that gave them a bad look. It’s really making my friend and I question how much longer we want to keep playing.
Wow glad I’m playing Everquest lol. As soon as activison took over this was a dead game.
Don’t get me wrong. I love EverQuest.
But how is that EQ population doing with how they are literally using the same zones as before from previous expansions?
And what company runs EQ now? Been switching hands so much lately.
Remember that time they forced real ID battle net? Yeah this is on that kind of LEVEL BAD! They will regret it when they see even more drop in subs! I guarantee the majority of your money base are 12-year-olds scrambling to farm enough gold for one token of game time before it expires or broke adults with credit card thieving 12 year old children scrambling for a last minute gametiem token. ActaBlztart will change its tune in a weeks time max, the backwash is already filled to the brim, we foaming profusely from the mouth sir
If anything, maybe send out a forum question regarding how people may feel about a pause option in their game play. Why does it have to be 30 or 60 or 90 consecutive days of play? Why can’t it be 30 or 60 or 90 total days of play. Some people at times, like myself would like the option to pause the game time due to whatever reasons of not being able to play. I think alot of people would appreciate that option. Anyone else feel the same way?
Not gonna lie that’s kinda cringe
This is really BS thanks activision
They did propose a Facebook style forum posting system that used our real names. It never happened though because people were REALLY upset about it - rightfully so! So no, they never forced Real ID on us. It is, and remains, an option to use privately with your real family and friends.
Source please?
You most certainly have the right to be upset if the changes impact you or your friends, but you might want to stick to using real examples of harm caused rather than things that either did not happen, or have no source.
It tends to have far more impact on those who make decisions.
Not sure if mis-use of the word “backlash” or intentionally designed to go with the image of a mouth foaming player. It certainly conjures up a vivid image!
I don’t really think anyone can defend it and say it is good. Sure, Blizzard has the right to do it, but that does not mean players like it.
The most anyone can do really is try to explain the changes and options so that players can pick from what is still available. Explaining how things work is not remotely the same as defending it though.
I do not support the decision of removing variable sub days to the solid 60 day subs. Please revert now.
I agree it’s a stupid change and should be reverted. But I need to point out one thing. Subs aren’t changing, you can still do the 30, 60, 90, or 180 day subs. What has changed is the blocks of game time that you could get via the blizzard store.
