Changes to Primordial Stones

It applied to existing ones as well.

Some of the changes they made were to disable some very OP interactions between certain stones, so they definitely applied these changes to everyone’s rings.

… they are upgradable gems that required using crafting orders, and use up the mats for the week to make.

They live hotfixed them after everyones upgraded not once but 2 twice on seperate days.

Big difference between changes vs making them completely unusable.

Whats a pretty dangerous precedent is the fact this wasn’t refunded, forcing many of us to wait until next week, then waste more time farming on mains when I don’t even need to go back there again.

Or … just don’t get the ring?? Everyone here is whining it’s useless anyway?

It’s really good now for a lot of specs and the game director said will be BiS for everyone until the next raid tier.

You right, it’s just frustrating that they made something or implemented something like this so late. This should have come earlier in the season honestly because we have zero reason to go to the forbidden reach now since these rings are useless for any of us who run heroic or normal raids and m+16 dungeons.

Most people seem to run desirous/storm infused/prophetic now.

Desirous is the only one that sees some variation. For example as a healer i run Exuding Steam instead in M+

The stones got buffed like 3 times. They’re far from useless now.

Well the good ones anyway

Humming seems to be really OP (broken?) at least for Guardian Druids. I posted screenshots of a recent M+ run and those numbers are crazy!

I agree that the rings are coming a little late but you should sim it. The recent Buffs made the ring a DPS and Survival upgrade for most specs.

I have, its a 2k loss for me on destro and that’s my main spec for aoe and solo

I’m not seeing an increase in dps from my 408 diurna ring to the new one tbh. Kinda sad.

That’s what they’re doing. PTR and Beta is for twatch promotion and live is for testing.

How about when we purchase a stone from the vendor, giving us one WE CAN ACTUALLY USE, instead of a mana regen stone for a DPS class FIVE times in a row!!

The only change this one-off ring/stones need is to be removed. Congratulations, you failed the experiment where you give people items with no stats.

I don’t dislike the concept, I don’t mind the no stats, but its not really balanced in a way to make it competitive. I get that they might want to avoid the whole “have this at max for one ring period” but as it stands right now, its not really pushing the numbers to warrant using it over lesser IL items with perfect secondary’s, or even in some cases less then perfect ones. Sure great for a fresh 70 till they can replace it, but right now, as it stands with current tuning, its utterly transitory at best.

Maybe if they just put some secondary stats back on the ring it would fix this mess of it not being an outright upgrade. Just an idea. I’m not going to bother with it until I know it has potential for more than a miniscule upgrade.

Lol ilevel 408 and still cant make keymaster more than halfway through the season and hoping the new ring bails you out no wonder you salty, think its you who should delete

Haha. For marksmanship this sims at 515 ilvl.

apprently listening to player feedback is non existent, other than a high ilevel item for alts these things suck, someone put as much efforts into this design as they did the set bonus’ in 10.1

We noticed in the Raid this week how much healing players were getting from the Ring, Add in that the 424 version with the best Stones was usually a 1 to 2K DPS increase over max rank crafted Rings AND has a boatload of Stam on it makes it pretty attractive for difficult content.

Obviously everyone needs to sim themselves but from my experience it’s not worthless.

For healers, sure it’s going to sim great - for damage. Why? Due to the fact most healers just don’t think to dps. Those who do remember they too can hit stuff likely would be using different rings because they need overall better stats instead of a niche little novelty item that’ll get replaced in a month and some change.
