Neltharion made these experiments before the Sundering, before the High Elves were exiled, sailed, traveresed, withered and then founded Quel’thalas.

Hmm. You’re right. Just looked it up. Was just going off memory of the novels. Didn’t know there was an in game book with a date. Strange it took thousands of years for that situation to come up.
Agreed 100%. Feels lazy as hell to have the visage forms clearly be a human female and a blood elf male and the dragon form be a reskinned incubus. It’s honestly just pathetic for a box feature race to be 100% reskins.
Either the visage forms should be completely new and unique or the dragon forms should be new and unique. Preferably both.
And I say forms because, like every single other race in the game, dracthyr dragon form should have two completely different models to choose from. Doesn’t necessarily need to be male and female but there should be two different dracthyr dragon models. And no, “slightly wider” torso options don’t cut it.
New models for a box feature new race is the absolute bare minimum of effort. Just pathetic that they can’t be bothered.
I think they should get rid of the visage forms entirely. Or at least let dracthyr ride mounts and everything else in dragon form, so we never have to use visage form if we don’t want to.
The sad part is that they updated the heads. So they’ve got these brand new heads and old crappy looking bodies.
