Remember cata’s worgen female fiasco.
Gotta be careful what we ask for and how we do it
Actually, they both look like human bodies with different heads.
Males have a belf head with what appears to be a human body in a male belf rig, and the females appear human in a human rig.
You’ll be fine. You’re saying blood elves didn’t exist 10,000 years ago, yet the aspects have a history of taking elven forms. And I dont think either of them look specifically elven.
I thought that way until someone told me about what they did with the Blood Elves in Burning Crusade (which I also like more than current Blood Elves). I’ve been worried ever since that they might just alter the model.
Realistically shouldn’t we be able too pick anything we really want for a visage form? Aka pick a orc as your visage and what not.
Would be quite a bit more enjoyable if that was allowed too happen.
I don’t even want the visage really. I just want to play the dragon form full time and be able to show all armor slots, not just shoulders and belts.
Im in favor of them out right removing the visage form. They should be pure dragonoid.
10 000 years ago the only major races were the highborn elves (Ashara), Trolls, and Yaungol
Eh, I don’t like the Belf models to be honest.
The girls don’t know how to hold a shield properly (psst, belf girls: the shield is supposed to be IN FRONT OF YOU, not behind you!), and some of the guys’ movements and animations are… uh.
How can I say this that doesn’t violate forum rules? They are… not butch enough IMO.
only other visage forms that would make sense lorewise qnd acvording to the timeline would ne Nightelf, ugly Troll or wierd looking Buffalo Tauren
It’s the Belf male body with zero change made to it.
Please show me where anyone brought in some emotional breakdown. Let’s not drag such things into the conversation.
When a new race is created, it should be new.
I agree 10 000 years age in wow there were no bloodelves or highelves they were all highborn elves they all looked my nightelves at that time
The ability to pick any race as visage would probably be best- just like existing dragons in the game…
Oh and in addition to using the female DH Metamorphosis rig for the dracthyr form, having the option for a 2nd gender, male, (existing male DH meta rig?) would be appreciated too.
These basic starting points are kinda necessary for a successful new race, especially one tied exclusively to a new class.
I approve this. Do what this person said blizzard.
more meat on dragon bones, amen
also black dragon warrs
This. Guys and whoever likes male Belfs will have a good time. But as a girl I’m not satisfied playing as a female human Drakthyr. They could at the very least update the female human rig to look more graceful in its body, bit like the FF14 humans or the humans in Lost Ark. I swear humans in this game are the worst I’ve ever seen in any game. Please fix the humans
weird, i thought the female humie model looked good
I agree that any race should be used as visage as long as it matches your faction. It could be done something like when you choose your covenant. Since Dracthyr are “new” to the world a short lore explanation of the races can be given. This would make the Dracthyr unique because the second form (visage) would be created and customized in game instead of at character creation. It would also clear up any sticky lore points about Dracthyr not being able to use those forms due to lack of knowledge, people wanting the new class on other races, and it could make them super customizable.
Personally I dislike the DH meta form, stoneborn male and those well muscled ladies from Maldraxxus would be good base forms for other body options. I think the current slim form should still be kept for people that like that option.
I thought they were the same rig! But agreed, the stoneborn males look awesome! Not used enough, but I never really did venthyr with any chars, maybe I’ve cheated myself :o
Hmm. Blood Elf is just a withered Night Elf. They began to exist exactly 10,000 years ago really because that’s when they stepped off the boat all shrunk until they established the well.
