I have a cringe named original account I made when I was 12 and a bunch of others (WoW 1, WoW2, etc). I would like to change the name of this account to the same convention as the others (following WoW 1, 2, etc order). Is this possible? I hate looking at the name every time I log in.
If youmean the named WoW accounts, prior to them beingisted as Wow1, Wow2 etc., then unfortunately no, I don’t believe those can be fired to be changed.
I think you’ll want to open a ticket with Customer Support and ask. No promises.

That’s the one. Damn. So I can’t change the name and I can’t transfer my chars off and close the account as I play WoW Classic right?
I think that there might be a confusion here. There is a difference between the name of the real person that setup the account and the “name” of the account. For example, I have a WoW account that is not WoW1, WoW2, etc. It has a specific WoW account name, but that’s not related to the name on the account (which is my real name as required by the EULA.
Characters can be transferred between any two accounts under the same account holder’s name (not wow account name, but the person who is assigned to that account.
Dos that make sense?
I want to change the name of my actual account, not my personal name on the account. My account is not a WoW1 or WoW2 account either, it was created before this system. I wish it was WoW1 or WoW2 account.
Characters can’t be transferred in Classic, only retail
I understand wanting to do that (my accounts are named based on a nickname from my now-ex wife) as I would love to also change the name of my main two accounts to something simple like WoW3 etc. but alas that cannot be done.
Damn, that’s brutal.
