Change Primordial Wave back

I know I obviously don’t speak for “All” (as such a thing is impossible, especially on the forums) — However I’d wager this thread comes from the voices of the grand MAJORITY of the shaman player-base …

From the many players I’ve spoken to, either from within my guild, on discord, trade chat and heck even from what it appears to already been seen expressed on these forums, along with myself – That the class-changes made to shaman in the:

  • Patch 11.1: Undermine(d)

In regards toward our spell ‘Primordial Wave’ – Especially for elemental — has been rather ill-received & not particularly enjoyed overall :grimacing:

As for my personal take:

:smiling_face_with_three_hearts: I LOVED how it used to function before, it felt awesome! It was tremendously fun and came in handy for multiple scenarios & occasions and felt like it truly rocked out the core fantasy of ‘Shaman’ rather gloriously — Whereas now it just feels … :unamused: Trivial.

Ultimately the spell felt far more enjoyable and fun BEFORE to this patch than it does now with the changes :pensive:

Overall I’d wager Blizzard wants the players to have the utmost enjoyment when playing their classes, so I’d like to rise a voice on behalf of the great shaman out there and plead Blizzard into changing the spell back — For the sake of playing and enjoying great content, with enjoyable gameplay.

I still agree with this take! Keeping it at the top!

With the shear magnitude of elemental shaman players being displeased with the change, you’d think Blizzard would at least address it …

But I guess maybe peeps were right?
Perhaps Blizzard just doesn’t care about the shaman community :sob:

Yepp I don’t want them to just buff the damage on this, I don’t care if it gives more haste. This new iteration of primordial wave is a failure, just change it back.

:100: Percent — Exactly!!

It’s not about the damage scaling, its about the playstyle and how it feels.

  • How it felt in season one, before Undermine(d) was extraordinary! :star_struck:
  • How it feels now though – in the Undermine(d) patch? :unamused: … Garbage.

Hopefully they change it back :dracthyr_nod:

The current iteration is awful in every single way for Elemental. Please revert it to how it was before this patch!

Yeah, I’m not going to shut up about Primordial Wave for Elemental.

Ultimately:

  • The current variation for Pwave feels great for enhancement.
  • The current variation for Pwave feels garbage for elemental. :face_vomiting:

They should just have different iterations for the two different specs.

That  or – at the very least give an OPTION on Primordial Wave to change its functionality depending on what you select, like they have for many other spells.

As for the “Buff” on the new Primordial Wave?

To speak metaphorically:

Blizzard turning up the scaling of the new variation of Primordial Wave as if it’s like a radio volume bar, isn’t going to change the fact that they changed the station and the music is trash.

  • It’s NOT about the scaling.
  • It’s about the playstyle.

— As so, SO many players have emphasised … Repeatedly.
Honestly I’m starting to wonder if anyone @ Blizzard even play elemental shaman. lol
