Change Credit Card

I need to change the credit card on my auto pay, but every time I attempt to add a new payment method via the web site, the screen freezes. Do I need to delete my current credit card first?

If it’s outdated it should be deleted. What do you mean by screen freeze though, is the browser locking up? Try using a different browser if you don’t mean the game launcher.

You may need to temporarily disable your firewall and/or any pop-up blockers to get some of those pages to work properly.

My current is not outdated but I am trying to transition my auto pays to a new card. When I go to the “Add new payment” screen, I click on the “credit card” choice and then I get the “working” icon that never ends.

Is this the launcher, or browser, and if browser did you try a different browser? Do you have any security software, did you turn off any browser blockers or allow scripts to run on the Blizzard website?

As a test, I just added a Master Card, under Firefox 75.0 on Win7 with Ublock Origin on, and it made it all the way to the end. Definitely check to make sure your browser and OS are up to date also.

WoW! I think my ancestors used win 7 before the damn Brits burned it during the war of 1812!:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

It’s an old PC, that I mainly use for forums, watch streaming, email. It’s a quite old dell running on a 4 core phenom chip, that actually started out with XP, until I put in a new hard drive. I have a dedicated win10 PC for games. I figured it would have let out the magic smoke a long time ago, but it’s as big as a tank, and probably will keep going for a while.

Thanks for the reply! I did turn off pop-up blockers and firewall but I still get the unending “working” icon on my screen.

Might be a software conflict or network conflict then. Maybe try it on a mobile device?

I downloaded Google Chrome and that worked. So the problem had something to do with Safari, I guess. Anyway, thanks to all for your replies and assistance, I appreciate it!

Thanks for checking back, Timgunn. My next recommendation would have been to try clearing your browser’s cookies/cache and/or trying a different browser. Glad to see it worked. Good luck!
