Hello,
I have finally had enough!
I spent a ton of money on a chair that has no back support.
My lower back is killing me.
The chair seemed to be designed for short people.
I am 6’3 and looking for a chair that has amazing lower back support. Lumbar or whatever it is called?
Anyone know of a good chair that is good for a tall person that sits at their desk a lot because of gaming and job?!?
Thanks in advance! Me love you long time.
What’s your price range?
$500-$1000. I don’t want to spend more than $1000
Herman Miller makes some good ones, although the premium Aeron is like $1400 IIRC. The do have several options for lower prices though.
Unfortunately I don’t have a lot of personal knowledge about chairs in that price range, or if I have any it’s outdated since I did my shopping 4 years ago.
My recommendation is to avoid any chair with the label “gaming” like the plague. At most price ranges you’ll find better value and quality in an ergonomic office chair.
Second is to find retailers nearby that have office chairs on display, if possible. I can’t speak for everyone but I have never been able to adequates judge how comfortable a seat will be for me unless I try it myself. Last time I tried ordering online blindly I ended up returning 2 chairs before finding one I liked. Even if you don’t like any of the ones you try, it will give you an idea what features you want in a good chair (comfortable armrests, fluid vs. locked reclining, etc.)
Armed with that information, make a list of features you want and take to Amazon. I hope someone else here has more intel on that price range than I.
In order to get the most out of your classic experience, I’m going to recommend using a toilet as your chair of choice. Not only does this save money on diapers during a 12 hour gaming session, but is much more hygienic as well!
I don’t know the chair, but I have people who swear by this mesh style chair where it almost has a spine running up the back, it’ looks funny but supposedly it is the most comfortable chair for extended periods of sitting.
Check facebook marketplace or craigslist in your area for a steel case chair. The gesture and the leap v2 are both top notch and often can be picked up brand new, or fairly new from an office closing etc at a solid price.
Found it, but apparently it’s around 1.5k, herman miller embody
I have the Herman Miller Embody. It’s very comfortable.
invest in a mechanical back brace,
i love mine.
broke my back in February
$350
Instructions unclear, broke leg instead, back still hurts but now I have a wicked club
lol your funny,
broke my leg in 2017 as well xD
Get a good executive chair from an office supplier. Stay away from cheap, overpriced, flashy “gaming” branded crap.
Either you’re out doing crazy things, or you just have horrible luck
its a bit of both, healed from the leg, then a day after working agian i get teeboned lol
I recommend the SecretLab Titan. I have the Omega and I’m incredibly happy. The titan has integrated adjustable lumbar support. And they have some cool designs.
This may sound weird, but get a nice leather semi truck seat and put it on some wheels. The average ones have 3 lumbar air bags, 2 shoulder bags and 2-3 seat bags that are completely adjustable, and you can have adjustable height with the bottom air bag.
Truckers have to sit in one spot for hours, so they make some pretty good seats
This is why i hate going outside lol… so many dumb drivers on the road
