Let’s be real. 6 months ago blizzard job hiring boards were loaded with jobs. Life was good and company was expanding massively. Looking today they still are hiring a lot. Go look, google ‘jobs blizzard’. Either blizzard is optimizing profits (and talent) or blizzard is flat out Miss managing growth versus sustainability. CFOs arent responsible for anything but keeping track of the money. SPending is decided by the board aka CEO and the executives. My cousin was the CFO for health south many many years ago. She didnt do anything but count the money… Blizz has a bean counter in charge now.

It’s pretty sad that people actually think the amount is justified because it’s sitting in stocks & he can’t get it unless he does well. He still got a couple million for coming back. A single person does not need -millions- to sustain themselves. And many of the workers working under them will never see that amount of money for as long as they live.
I don’t care how much work a person in that high of a position has to do, he has so much financial stability that even the stress of his job will never outweigh the stress that the employees making the actual product have to deal with on a daily. He could fail to meet the financial goals and walk away with millions while normal, financially unstable employees working their butt off could be dropped any second and lose everything they have worked hard for because of lower than average profits.

And if a company is doing poorly financially, it should be the finance department that gets laid off. Not the ones following orders and doing the work that makes the company money, that the bean counters seem to woefully mismanage.
I don’t think i could spend a million dollars a year if i tried. It’s like Brewsters millions, only EVERY year.
Bean counters don’t make financial decisions. They count money, they say this money is here, that money is there. On this date that money when from here to there, and now we have this much left here. That’s it.
I could absolutely easily. I could spend 1000000 bucks in a week, every week.
