I mean, having a 200% damage increase and a pet that one shots is super thrilling for a time, but you’re not gonna have any players to use them on soon. wpvp is so cheese and broken. Fun for a time, but they gotta fix this, no one wants to play

You are able to turn off War mode.
If you aren’t interested in getting all the buffs and meeting your enemy on equal footing, why did you turn it on in the first place?

more of a hobby. plus you’ve made my point for me. war mode IS off, btw, because of this. the point is, war mode is pretty dead rn. thered be more people playing if turning it on didn’t mean instant death from someone the same level and ilvl as you.

Do you play a game like Rust, but only on the starting beach with a rock? Do you go to their forums and complain about all the players using their survival skills who have more stuff than you do?
Quality over quantity. I’d rather have a challenge than having simply more players to fight.
I’m quite happy to play with War Mode on. And my realm group doesn’t seem very dead, there are often large fights going on.

I do agree that there’s a limit on advantages that are fun as opposed to unhealthily broken. What that limit is will of course be somewhat subjective.
Personally think the Maruuk pet is the firmly latter, and should not function in PvP. A companion straight-up one-shotting people from high health so long as you’re near a hunt is absurd. Too cheesy.

There is a risk attached to the 20% extra XP and Loot that you get for being in War Mode.
It tells you when you click the button. Which you have to turn on.

But there are. And there always will be. Especially when players choose not to use all the tools available to them.
Then you should have said that you are not expressing distaste for WPvP, not that no one is.
