So I check this thread on a lark, thinking back to questing in Vanilla as a baby 13/14-year-old, and now I’ve spent 15 bucks to say hi, whoops.

Used to run around as Gormaggus, a (probably overenthusiastic) Forsaken rogue who took until August 2006 to ding 60. And still managed to hit Rank 3, somehow?
Not entirely sure why I was in War Chasers anymore, though I suspect it was from messing around in Warsong Gulch while leveling? I still have a folder of screenshots from those days, including that time Acorah gave me the gold for my first mount and I was stunned by the generosity of that gift. And quite a few shooting the breeze with you in guild chat or party chat
At some point I drifted off to Emerald Dream for some reason or another (post War Chasers), hung out there until a few months after Cataclysm, took a break from WoW after burning out on raiding there. Came back near the end of MoP on EU servers–since an IRL friend roped me back into WoW and I’d moved–and have been over there ever since. (Thus the 15 bucks, bc the US forums wouldn’t let me post without an active US subscription).
So I won’t be joining up on US Classic, unfortunately, but I did want to reach out and say hi! I’m Mirdini#2236 on Battlenet if you’d want to catch up some more (same goes to anyone else from Cenarion Circle that might remember me!), though I’ll also be able to reply in here for another month or so until this subscription lapses again.
Also have a vanilla-era screenshot of a friends list with you (Lucidia the shaman) on it, although I’ll be honest, unfortunately can’t quite remember why at this point . Glad to see you’re doing well, in any case!
Of all the people I played with these 2 were the ones that made the game for me. We were all very close friends whom I feel bad for having lost touch with.
I feel like ever since we broke up that band, playing this game hasn’t felt quite the same.
Hey! I (Wakishaki, Troll Hunter) was second in command in War Chasers. Korica (eventual R14) and I founded the guild together. In fact I came up with the guild name!
We were an open world pvp guild, and also spammed BGs when they came out. I stopped ranking at R10 or R11 because school started, and missing a single day or ranking meant I couldn’t rank anymore : P
Eventually I joined Dreadforge Pact, and Korica joined another hardcore guild (also DFP or Kaos Knights).
You may remember some other members! Bartons, Dragren, Korica, Faradn… those are the only names I remember unfortunately -_-
And I remember some PvPers that have been mentioned here.
