Celebrate 15 Years of World of Warcraft With New Alabaster Mounts!

In any case, no MMO is in interested in just ‘surviving,’ they want to make as much money as they can.

You are concluding that because people are using in game stores to generate income that they are absolute required to stay a float, which just because everyone does it, doesn’t mean it’s true. Just means it’s a successful means to make money.

Because companies need to make money, and a sub is not enough in these days. And who cares if they do, as long as they keep adding quality mounts to the game, there has been store mounts since vanilla. They have added so many cool mounts in 8.2 and with 8.2.5 we are getting literal deathwing mount and bee boi.

Was kind of waiting on the generic responses. Muh immersion that bashiok made so famous back during the wod fiasco. Or muh wpvp, skipping content, etc, etc lol.

Overwatch is not an MMO. show me an MMO Also no you dont have to pay for every wow expansion, what are you bloody talking about?

Wow survived then with a store, called the TCG mounts, also a different time, stuff costs more now, the sub has not rised in 15 years, 15$ is worth ALOT less then it was then.

Shouldn’t blizz be giving something back to the playerbase for a change?

Celebrate 15 years by padding our bottom line with 2 ugly mounts.

It doesn’t matter, it’s about the survival of a game as you state can’t be possible without shop mounts.

But tell me how did WotlK, TBC and Classic survive without Shop mounts or anything related to paying real money at all? (e.g. character transfer/faction change, level boost etc)

Isn’t it obvious that they can’t impress with quality anymore?

in an case EVERYONE is interested in making money.

What would you rather live in, a nice house, a nice family, a pet or two, being able to go home and say “hey hun wanna go out for dinner?”

or would you rather

Live in a bad apartment alone, barely able to afford anything “instant noodles again i guess”

No one wants to “just survive” that is horrible and risky.

I am buying it, if you are nice I might buy one for you as well.

It even has sparkles on its wings.

Yay, pay to celebrate, wait, we are already paying.

I did not misquote you. I merely pointed out your inaccuracies. Not to mention “existing in a different” climate or market means squat. The games still existed for many years without in game stores.

No, it’s the 14th year. You don’t celebrate the year before your birthday that you turn 15. Your 15th year is the day you turn 15 until the day you turn 16.

You’re strawmanning the argument. We both know that surviving is paying the bills and keeping the game a float, which includes paying employees. These companies are interested in making more than that, which is beyond your ‘needs the in game store to survive’ statement.

they did, they had the TCG, also wtbc and wotlk had the charecter transfer/faction transfer/race change aswell as store mount.

Since you seem to be new to wow let me fill you in, since you are so horribly wrong

Back in the day blizzard sold packs of cards, these packs could randomly have cards inside that had codes on them that could be redeedm for “toys” mounts, pets, etc, that then could be used in world of warcraft. bassicly loot boxes with real world money! Then in tbc they introduced race and realm changes. Then in wotlk they introduced faction changes, aswell as the first store mount! Well not the first cause they had TCG mounts, just the first non-loot crate based store mount!

Then what to do on my alts, since I already did everything on my main in order to fly? I’ve been playing Horde, just because there’s content I haven’t seen. That’s my issue with PF: I no longer have anything to explore on my alts.

making more then that.
Which allows them to invest money to hire more staff
make more games
Improve games
Improve offices

If a company makes “just enough to get along” then it cant invest money to make other games. A company needs to make MORE MONEY so they can make MORE GAMES

Yes, they were called the TCG mounts.

welcome to the game since forever? idk if you know but the game has never had enough zones to do like 4 or 5 charecters without seeing any overlap.
