Spamming cc in general. Hard CC should never be spammable. With the massive amount of micro cc and with how short the cd is on kicks. Gut this garbage for pvp. Not sure why we even have it. It’s not needed in pve so why do we keep getting more?

Way too many mindless trolls on these forums. Wish blizzard would fix this and the game. Would make the game better overnight. Why does the toon I use as my forums avatar have to do with anything at all? But of course, someone comes and has to imply a paladin is immune to cc or something lol go back to reddit with the rest of your kind.

Because without CC having a big impact on games, pvp turns into pve. Right now CC matters more because healers (at least 3 of them) are strong and mostly hard to kill, meaning you need to control them to secure kills rather than run at them with brain off. It feels fun to land cc that actually matters and completely changes the course of a match, cc is more important than it was for most of DF.
If you nuke spammable cc, pvp becomes pve and it will also make the current state of healers very bad for the game rather than good for the game because you will not be able to control them long enough to secure kills. Theres nothing really bad about spammable cc either right now, due to how healing is it feels good rather than too good.

I’m not saying get rid of cc. I’m saying nobody should be able to just mindlessly throw out cc.
DRs exist, LOS exists, kicks exist, every spec has stops outside of kicks.
If people can just “mindlessly” cc you then its a skill issue.
If you want to PVE then go play it.

Huh? What does that even mean. Mindlessly throwing out cc? You have to actively think about throwing out cc to even go for it, nobody is mindlessly spamming polys or clones, you have to know when to push for it or you can get punished for doing so esp if the healer is positioned well and causes you to overextend for it.
Micro cc is pretty mindless, but spammable cc usually takes thought for it to actually make a difference. Good positioning can also negate multiple polys or multiple clones etc. If a druid is spamming clones effortlessly on your healer that means the dps are not doing nearly enough to prevent him from doing so, either their damage sucks or the healers positioning sucks.

Both cyclone and poli have no cd. And lots of cc are on a 30 second CD so people just throw it out once it’s up. Hunter can always land traps because of scatter and stuns. There’s no skill involved anymore.
