Just dont hit the mage itll be fine.

Yes, ofc I am but a punching bag my dear Fyshles.

Yea, it’s really bad atm. :frowning:

Yeah man I swear something is jacked up with cc that’s supposed to break on damage. I’m legit sitting traps and poly’s while taking damage like wtf?

yup sat a full chastise (not the stun one) eating a ray of frost. wonder if it’s a ray thing or channeled spells

Honestly I think it’s just a low numbers thing, I’ve seen it on all forms of damage in all forms of breakable CC. Most CC takes a few seconds of full on damage to break it seems. But that’s with Honor gear. I have no clue how they have it set up on the back end, but maybe the “minimum” threshold is a more static number that’s tuned with Conquest damage numbers in mind.

I had an elite while leveling take 30% hp damage before it broke out of freezing trap. I was starting to think I was hallucinating when my bm hunter and all his pets doing full rotation wasn’t breaking it.

Blinding sleet from dks has been the biggest offender for me.

Like ill get gripped, blinding sleeted, and it wont break until im down to around 65%

CC in general feels quite bad. I dont think lowering the DR duration from 18 to 16s was good since we just get cced more often now, and while theres less ‘micro cc’ in the game, we actually spend just as much if not more time sitting CC and in some comps you still sit a ton of short duration CC after a long CC chain.

And I also agree, CC damage threshold seems very weird. Mage roots, DK blind, Lock Howl have been the biggest offenders for me just sitting 3+ seconds getting pounded without them breaking.

The thing that really gets me is how I can take over half my health in damage while sitting breakable CC but somehow Shadow Word Death always instantly breaks the priest out of the same CC even when it barely does any damage to them.

It’s insane ccs that are suppose to break on damage are not breaking even in burst. Bliding sleet, blind for rets, roots, chastise.

Whatever formula the devs implemented for damage on ccs breaks that are not stuns need to be revisited because some of the ccs have a asinine high damage threshold. The 1st tic on Ray of Frost should be breaking all ccs, same goes when you active your burst/damage cds and a disable cc that doesn’t not break.

I’m looking at you chastise/blinding sleet.

All of these ccs were only updated to have safety vs breaking from all the weird low damage dots that spread all over the place but they’re acting as stuns.

Feels like a mythic+ change they made but didn’t account for in PvP.

Yeah, I believe that it’s coded to do so.

Should make it so it “always” breaks the priest out of CC by always doing as much damage as necessary to break that CC under normal circumstances. Would truck harder than dispelling UA lol
