Writing isn’t an instant process. Everything we’re seeing in game was likely conceptualized long before the firings started. I think it’s unlikely we’ll see the real effects of the purge until the next xpac.

Yes but in response they went into full Star Trek mode with then whole good/evil versions of her so it really wasn’t ‘her’ that did it. She (good Sylvanas) was locked in a trunk at PigFreckle’s Academy of Mojo Potatoes while her evil part was naughty.
It’s kind of sad/funny actually that they pulled a Star Trek.

That or the Star Trek with good/evil versions of people via a transporter malfunction or the good/evil versions of people via the alternate universe. They have a whole list of options for what’s his name to save his precious in game.

Giving up varian and vol’jin for sylv was the worst trade deal in the history of trade deals.
Vol’jin was just starting to be fleshed out as a good character. And Varian was, well, varian

Certainly it should have been concluded before SL. Keeping her still at the forefront into yet another expansion is asinine. We’ve all been playing World of Sylbarfas.
But Sylvanus is getting special treatment because of simps.

I think this scene coulda been easily fixed with some more dialogue.

That’s basically what happened. This game’s writing isn’t always the best, but until BfA and Shadowlands I have at least been entertained. For me that’s what it’s all about. Shadowlands makes BfA’s writing look like a Pulitzer Prize winner.

That would show Sylv as being lesser than someone else, so I don’t think that’d make it past the cutting room floor.
There’s plenty of cutscenes where she gets dunked on. such as the famous cinematic of: saurfang dabs on sylvanas.
