Will there be catch up gear for Naxx or do we have to grind through MC, BWL,…?
You should be BWL/AQ40 geared before you go into Naxx.

It all depends on class but generally speaking BWL gear is the catch up gear. Most BWL stuff ends up getting disenchanted now anyways so you should have no problem at least getting the bare minimum needed for Naxx.

At this stage of classic, MC is probably unnecessary, but there are still cool things you can find there. Other than that, no, you still need to gear yourself up before you head into Naxx. The good news is a lot of the stuff that we all fought over six months ago should be easy to get now.
You get catch-up gear in hellfire peninsula.

a variety of stuff is bis from the zg enchants(shoulders/legs/head), aq20 skillbooks, select gear from aq20/bwl/mc/zg is required for naxx. But generally gear from bwl/aq40 should be enough for naxx. However if you plan on getting tier 3 gear get player made mats right now before the price spike.

Catch up gear is world buffs. Oh rather, Classic is your catch up gear. Just level up to 60 and join a raid, any raid. Bosses will die in 20 seconds anyway.
Welcome to Classic.
If you want to be airlifted to the latest raid, that’s what Modern is for. (And all Modern is for, last I heard, so that’s convenient.)

Classic is similar to that too - as long as people aren’t being elitist and let new players join the raid.
Just stack world buffs and they’ll be able to raid any tier. Stuff is going to die in 2 secs with no mechanics anyway.
Retail is disgustingly accessible, but Classic isn’t too far behind.
Because you’re doing Mythic…anything but Mythic in retail puts a competent raider to sleep.

aq40 as well. Naxx is balanced around tier2. It’s literally what blizzard told players in Vanilla.

Just so we can see how disgustingly accessible things are.
We took a new priest from 6 hours at 60 to very well geared in 1 lockout of the 5 available raids iwth zero gear competition.
