That’s the xpac that completely wrecked the old world right? Yeah, no thanks. If it weren’t for that I might have been willing to give it a try, like I did Wrath.
That was my experience. Before rdf if I asked in guild if anyone wanted to do SM or St etc people would often decide not to switch to an alt because they didn’t think the group would form and switching would be a waste of time. After it was added it was easy to get friends or guildies to switch to an alt to join for a low level dungeon group because we all knew we’d get a group in the end with rdf. I played more with friends after it was added than before. For me rdf made the game more social not less.
couldnt agree more with the 10man raiding! Keep in mind though those heroics are going to be challenging on day 1, a step up from the current Wotlk ones
cata had to be one of my favourite xpacs, i loved the pvp, the dungeons were challenging and enjoyable (for the most part) and i felt it was the pinnacle of 10man raiding (I played with a bunch of mates from school and had a blast, 10man raiding just took out most the drama that modern wow tends to lure in with its mythic format)
outside of the instance content i wasnt a huge fan the world revamp. The questing was probably for the better pruned down a bit, but i did miss the old Westfall zone and many other zones that were destroyed by the cataclysm event. Maybe blizzard could add in a npc that allows you to do stuff in a certain zone before the cata event occured? (a bit like the silithis and the sword in retail),
I enjoyed Cata the first time around, but honestly after Wrath I’m done, i plan to shut down my account again just like I did in Mists.
Cata was the best expansion and has literally every change in it that people on these forums ask for wotlk.
Nerfed unholy? Check
Paladin tier bonus as talent? Check
10m dropping same loot as 25m? Check
RDF from the start? Check
Heroics that aren’t faceroll? Check
Transmog? Check
while I’m excited for Cata, i hope they keep Wotlk servers around… with a possibility of even bringing back some TBC servers. I think its important for blizzard to hang onto this Classic era stuff, it might even keep you continuing
the guild perks were a fun idea too
no unlikely, I’m only still around for my guildies as we clear raids, most of what they’ve done to wrath pisses me off, if i wasn’t recently divorced and loney I’d already be gone.
No more interesting than your opinion. To me it was absolute crap.
I wish it doesn’t happen. Retail would be a better option
Pretty sure Retail will always still be an option…
No rdf or lfr.
Pft rdf should be in the game now
Anti rdf people are legit scrambled brain humans
No it shouldn’t. If thats the type of gameplay you want, there are dozens of other games for you to play.
It was in Wrath. It should be in Wrath Classic. Saying ‘if that’s the type of gameplay you want, there are other games for you to play’…you realize that Wrath is one of those other games, since Wrath is where RDF was added.
All it does is remove pointless, tedious wastes of time that gatekeep players from content. There is nothing positive or constructive in the group forming process. But even if you absolutely insist on forming your own groups manually…you can still do precisely that even with RDF in the game.
There’s no reason to be against such a system. It’s authentic. It gets players to group more often. It makes accessing dungeon content less of a hassle. It’s all positives.
Thats your opinion. The devs dont agree.
Obviously the devs agree. They put it in Wrath. Oh, you mean the Classic team? They’re not devs; they’re a bunch of clowns who were given the most successful expansion and flushed it down the toilet.
What have they contributed? A worse, buggy version of Retail’s LFG tool. A completely broken Wintergrasp where they abandoned the original and turned it into a cross-realm bg. Ignoring the army of bots running rampant in the game.
These are the people who decided to remove RDF. Yes, their history of incompetence aligns with that decision.
In your previous post you advised players to look to other games if they want an authentic Wrath experience…and that’s just weird.
So because they have made changes you dont like they arent devs. Guess there is no devs at all then because there is always something someone doesnt like about a game. Just clowns.
