They don’t do tuning passes on TW based on the new content and the increases in gear levels.
TW scaling is broken and all over the place in general and devs usually have to go in and do hotfixes because of the scaling Cata has been a bit off for ages when it comes to this.
You got any specifics?
Otherwise, it just sounds like people are dying to failure damage, which is good.
Cata dungeons are fine. God forbid you face any challenge in this game before endgame.
They wipe, realize their mistake and don’t do it again. Then they pull more cautiously.
Cata dungeons are easy, they don’t need more tuning. People need to just do mechanics and not rush things too much.
Cataclysm timewalking has mechanics that you have to learn to do or you can die if you can’t out dps it all. It’s THE ONLY timewalking dungeons that feels a little fun to play because it isn’t completely mindless. They feel like normal dungeons.

Didn’t have too many issues yesterday.
Lost City - Other Warlock and DH tank decided to skip Lockmaw - found out why we can’t and had to go back and kill it anyway.
Stonecore - whole group except me found out what “Break yourself upon my body” means.
Other than that, went Ok, but there are groups who just simply have no idea and if you’ve never done Cata and you’ve done other TW that has been pretty faceroll, yeah, bad things will happen. I didn’t feel they were over tuned though, they could have been, I just didn’t feel it - I did them on my new 80 Warlock.
I’ve lost most of my interest in TW when they killed TW twinking for max levels.
It was the one part of the game I could walk in with my earned legacy gear and wreak havoc.
Now, my artifacts/legendaries are all trash again, and for good this time.
Scaling enemies UP was a terrible decision IMO.
On-topic, Cata TW dungeons do not feel different from the rest to me.
Maybe they’re all tuned differently then because I did VP on my monk who is probably my least geared and lest played tank no one was ever in danger and I chain pulled
Which dungeon was hitting that hard?
I’m confused why anyone thinks this is ok? Why have several weeks of braindead TW then one week of hard-carry TW. Why have the split?
You either want perpetual Cataclysm difficulty or you want all the other weeks’ difficulty. Which is it?
I’m not saying it’s ok to be drastically different I am saying I haven’t noticed but again I only did one vortex to test, no it seemed just as easy as last week.
Honestly the hardest TW dungeons for me are still TBC because of how many stuns there are

and then they nerfed them because people whined and couldnt be bothered to use this magical thing called crowd control.
