Was it any good? FYI Cata Classic is already in beta.
I hear that MoP was peak PvP class design, was Cata close in anyway?
With Cata being the start of “modern” wow it introduces quite a bit of quality of life changes, will you guys try it out specifically for PvP?
I’m highly considering it. What about you guys?
------Update Below--------
Made a lvl 80 rogue in wotlk classic (to prep for Cata Classic).
It feels so much better than retail… It’s not even close. AND it’s not even Cata Classic yet.
It’s by no means perfect, but, retail is just getting worse and worse with no signs of improvement.
Safe to say that I’m a very happy camper with wotlk classic PvP and the upcoming Cata Classic PvP; pretty much all the comments on this post agreed that Cata Classic PvP is going to be great
this was the main complaint of people who pvpd in cata
the actual gameplay was top notch, but pve gear in pvp ruined it for a lot of people
my understanding is that the overpowered pvp gear was mostly from dragon soul, and the legendary staff from firelands, so the first season should be pretty clear of the stuff
i will never forgive blizzard for what they did to fire mage in mop, cata fire was so good
First season will be fun then everything after that have to raid for pve trinkets or x2 x3 gem slot pieces but who knows we have more game knowledge now
I second this. I played BM/Fire Mage/Rsham with my two best irl friends. It was a blast. After Cata Fire, my buddy just didn’t enjoy the spec as much after playing it since Vanilla. He quit back in WoD. But those were the days. WoW still had so much promise. Now it’s a molestation of its former glory with disinterested and apathetic devs and robotic CS reps.
Pve gear in Pvp was a huge problem, but I can’t lie. Never had more fun than tripple dps being viable. Running ret hunter DK with double Gurthalak voice of the deep. The nostalgia.
