The whole point of Classic was for players to experience the world BEFORE it was forever changed in Cataclysm. Many younger players never got to experience the world as it was before. If you’re gonna redo Cata, then at least make its own unique server but keep Classic as is, or create a Classic+ server.
Unfortunately blizzard is motivated by greed and money and will do whatever requires the least amount of work to yield the most profit. I 100% expect them to continue with Cata, MoP, and WoD “classic” and unfortunately players will continue to play those xpacs and keep feeding the machine…
It makes no sense. Cata is NOT classic. It literally redefines the game and changes it forever, in my opinion for the worst.
According to who…? Why do you get to decide why people play classic? I personally play classic because I wanted to do all the content I never did the first time around. That includes the parts of cataclysm I missed. I also completely missed MOP and I want to experience that as it was intended.
How about you speak for yourself only, not others.
Classic is a subtitle that refers to the relaunch of an old expansion for players to re-experience it. Stop treating it like it’s some sacred word that whatever arbitrary expansion you stopped enjoying the game in isn’t allowed to touch
The way they dumped crusade leaves everyone quite concerned for wrath. Many of us want permanent wrath, not a force patch over to the candy land that is cataclysm. If they do rehost it, it needs to be SEPARATE so our characters can stay here.
I did not like Cata and quit raiding with that expansion, and then missed MoP because I didn’t realize it was so dope. I came back to level through it and was like hot damn these dungeons are so unique and fun and these zones slap! I’m excited for them to get up to MoP so I can experience it as a current expansion and not just old content.
Many younger players never got to play Cataclysm either! 12-YEARS ago this was. When WoW classic was launched in 2019, that was roughly 15 years time lapse. By the time Classic Cata comes out it will be roughly 15 years time lapse.
Any game expansion not the current one can be defined as classic era.
WOTLK is the most overrated expansion and should be considered the expansion that started the downward spiral.
We had three amazing expansions since WOTLK, Cata, MoP and Legion. I would play all these versions over WOTLK. People obsessed with WOTLK need to get out of the box.
The redone zones from Cata are literally the same way those zones are in retail now, all these years later. CLASSIC means the way zones were PRE changes to Azeroth. It’s pretty basic common sense. Your argument is invalid…
No, the whole point of Classic was to experience said xpac the way it was released. Hense the name Wrath Classic. It should’ve been released untouched. Anyone who doesn’t like, well tough sh**.
