And I want to be clear, my guild despite their flaws was still better than probably 70-80% (or more) of all raids. We killed vashj and kt pre-nerf when the majority of guilds hadn’t even seen vashj yet (i swear i’d seen an article at one point suggesting 70% of guilds still had atleast 1 boss to kill before they could even start vashj but i’ve also never been able to find it again). It’s wild how wide the gap is between players.
I mean sure. Lets not forget that firelands tunning is still “pre nerfed” but with a slight nerfs to the pre nerfs. That also put people off from the start from returning to the game and surely the announcements yesterday didnt help either… new servers and possible era TBC chances to split even more the playerbase.
I will mention that the “catch up” mechanic they put with the inferno dungeons is just absolute trash. 100% extra hp is such a bad idea for a catch up mechanic. That also is not helping to the cause.
Yeah, just failures across the board. The new fresh is doomed from the start too, atleast if I’m reading their graphic right since it looks like it’s supposed to be 1 year from MC->Naxx. Good luck with that with 2 items per boss lmao
cant wait for T5 to wipeout classic: TBC!!
What ever they may have said they are now calling this version of cata classic. If they release MoP they’ll call that classic too.
Show me where they said this.
go watch the classic announcement it was mentioned there.
You’re the one making the point, so drive it and give me a timestamp, I’m not going to research something for you.
realms are dead because blizzard lied and the phase went on for 5+ months. When it should have at max been out for 4 months. Firelands should have been out mid october at latest but didn’t get released until november. Not sure why the zandalari content was an entire phase when it’s meant to be a catch up mechanic.
history just repeated itself . we burnt out after years of vanilla , tbc and wrath and taking a long break because also family
I’m among the group that wanted to move on into Cataclysm, and I’m still here, raiding in two 25-man teams. It was a bit disappointing and dull having the Zandalari heroics being treated as its own phase, but I continued to sign up and attend every guild raid that was posted even on the final week of the tier before Firelands launched. Chances are, the players that wanted Cata are still playing as I am, and those that left were never going to give it a chance to begin with or understandably got bored/burnt out with the length of T11.
I also advocated for the support of Wrath Era realms, as it would be hypocritical of me to want TBC Era yet shut down others from wanting play their favorite version of the game just because it’s not what I personally wanted. The only mistake with Classic Cata’s launch was not creating era servers for TBC and Wrath to go along with it.
classic cata… a bad game? no way nobody predicted this
lol I doubt that very much. when all you see are dollar signs which drives every decision you make about the game you kinda lose the objectivity thats required to judge a projects health
before I quit (before cata came out) I told everyone this would happen. Cata is not as great as everyone thought or said it would be or was. The only reason I’m back is because of MoP coming out. Cata was the death of my guild and several sister guilds.
Has more raiders than sod and era combined. Sorry, not sorry…
yes they lied multiple times P1 went on for almost 6 months that is stupid long.
The devs said it was going to be a 1/2 phase. In the interview.
Lol it wasnt even a catch up mechcanic tho the illv from the dungeons was a step up from normal heroic dungeons it wasnt even a step up from normal raid gear, If it was inbetween 359 and 372 say like 365 ilvl then that would have been better but not worth a 3-4 month time window for 2 5man heroic dungeons.
