So you’re holding obsolete stuff that don’t even matter. Thanks for clipping the part off my post that gave you a way to answer back while ignoring the rest.
How am I supposed to know what’s obsolete? I feel like you pointing out how dumb or ignorant to the DF currencies I am just highlights how confusing retail is.
And I responded to the points that mattered. That DF is easy if you look up guides to explain it for you, and that there are tons of currencies which have unclear relevancies.
I played about a month after launch and for a bit on 10.1 I think. Which of those currencies are the outdated ones?
I’m going to play Classic Cata like crazy if it’s a thing. I was real young playing WoW up through WotLK, and took a short break until Cata came out. That was the first time I really understood how to play the game. I always regret that I wasn’t quite ready for the raiding scene, because I always wanted to slam out Ragnaros.
Wrath will always be my favorite from a lore perspective, but Cata essentially reinvented WoW and made so many qol and gameplay improvements, it would be hard for players to NOT want to return to it.
I didnt think I wanted it but I kind of do now. Big thing though, is try to find the patch history. We found out warriors are bad all wotlk despite being good in original because of the patch history. Arms was great in cata but that patch history does not bode well, might not be fun.
Plus we are all on Aggrend’s private server now so who knows what will happen to balance lmao.
Yeah finishing abyssal maw is a solid plan but toss the rest of the post.
Yeah christmas decor the instant halloween is over, yes greed. Yessir. Yes. Absolutely correct. Accurate.
Yes, the raids will be harder which will sate the difficulty seekers. I have like 2 toons ready for cata so yeah. I think long term we will have vanilla, vanilla+, tbc+, wrath+, and cata+. With the wow token I imagine a whale will have a character for each game with pre-bought legendaries.
I will play Classic Cataclysm.
And I really want them to rename it from “Classic” to “Reborn” or something and actually go with #MoreChanges approach.
We all know what is going to happen. We all know what features are good and what features are bad. We all know what features got better over time.
Just because original transmog was “item must be in bags”, meanwhile Retail had proper collection tab for gear/cosmetics, there is no reason not to include that in Cataclysm and allow people to legit farm cosmetics/tier sets/transmog etc.
FOR EXAMPLE - Shadowlands Classic
9.1.5 brought free covenant swaps and renown catch up. It needs to be brought with the initial launch. Or like open Torghast wings.
While there were some systematic issues with Shadowlands, I absolutely loved it and I nerded the heck out of it. I loved dungeons. I loved balancing. Getting to 22+ in keys on my off-meta outlaw was awesome. and doing 24’s with pugs on my BrM was always mad fun!
Im sorry but I’d like to think in dealing with people capable of objective thinking.
You’re choosing to hold onto all this random currencies that no longer matter.
The game makes a point to direct you to current content that is good for you.
All you gotta do is open your adventure journal and see what the current catch up even is up now.
Or you can flail and complain the game is too complicated cuz there are too many items in it.
The currencies often have tooltips that tell you where to trade em. All it takes is looking for said npc and see it gives lower quality items
Quests being littered around is common for any mmo. There are side quests everywhere that offer gold or rewards. They gameplay value is there.
Not the games fault you or anyone else feels overwhelmed by it.
Not everything needs to be relevant towards the current content.
Another thing. Why is it so wrong to look for help. I played vanilla and classic and I’m sure as hell everyone googled a quest or used an addon as much as anyone else.
And materials and quest items that are irrelevant but are kept there for no reason have been common since the game release.
Oh no you gotta carry shadowflame fragments?! Sell em them you don’t need em right? You don’t even run content to see all the types there are.
Imagine complaining about crafting required materials. Let’s just make a amorphous lump the single item for crafting. Yep
Jfc ppl like you should just stick to auto clickers or w.e pea brained people plays nowadays.
Your answer to everything is just “figure it out” or “just understand it”. I just offered what the experience is like for someone who hasnt played retail in a while getting to level cap and seeing the map light up with all the things it wants you to do. How you get all these mcguffins in your bag as you play through and trying to make sense of it all.
I never said anything negative towards you and all i get are insults and “its not hard if you put all the effort in”. Well it doesnt seem worth the effort tbh. But you do you, my man.
Well no one is playing dragonlands so probably
Gave you a solution but you didn’t even read the second paragraph before you cried victim. So you do you. People like you want to get spoon fed stuff. Well the food is there on a spoon just gotta pressa button to get the adventure journal open
cata… gross
this is what happened when i tried retail in shadowlands
Hopefully. Cataclysm was the second best expansion behind mop imo.
They already basically said they are, like 7 different surveys all about cata been sent out to content creators and tons of datamined material been off and on the PTR.
All the things on ICC warth PTR are cata changes like trap launcher and all the retail features, account wide mounts, toy and heirloom boxes aoe loot, are all on ptr atm.
They are bringing cata changes early into phase 4 icc patch.
The first reason you need Blizzard to respect the Classic servers are:
- Totally separate the WotLK classic servers, and add for the new WoW revamp classic servers, WotLK is playable even if it gets stuck in only 2 expansions, shutting it down like it was with TBC will be a crime against humanity.
But at the same time WoW Cataclysm doesn’t look as good as the previous expansions, it’s no worse than WoD, BfA and Shadowlands, and soon DF if it goes wrong or ends up in 10.2 before 10.3 or .4 for the next expansion , thing that there are these solutions
- continue orderly with next expansion as it is but add something that at least looks good as a good classic expansion.
- to release MoP Classic but extending with 2 expansions at the same time doing the Cataclysm and MoP raids with lvl90 experience and adding new experiences to what was previously seen in retail when it was only those expansions.
- Totally skipping MoP classic or Legion Classic in another case but avoiding the other expansions, it would be something negative since others wanted to live that experience no matter if they were bad or disappointing, but Blizzard did with Warcraft 3 without first doing Warcraft 1 and 2, and Diablo 2, without making Diablo 1 first, regardless of the pretext that they lost the source code of the original Diablo 1, blizzard does not respect its franchises and only cares about money.
So nevertheless I would go for option 2, since it would be more orderly and interesting to enlarge more times 2 expansion in a single classic server but each phase that includes versions from 4.0.0 to 5.4.
Or, because there’s a portion of the playerbase that wants it? Maybe both are true? Somebody wanting a thing, then someone, in return, giving them said thing is not ‘corporate greed’. That’s what makes society work.
The more and more they do it I see the point less and less tho.
Made sense for classic, tbc and wrath.
Cats started account wide stuff etc. I feel they should just have a proper way of doing old content instead.
