So, just curious what class/spec everybody is wanting to go with in Cataclysm classic? Are you still trying to decide? Let’s read it!

Survival Hunter.
Playing Survival Hunter in Cata was the most fun I’ve had in all the years I’ve played the game. I picked up Wrath again last October after a ten month break just to come back and play SV Hunter one more time in Cata.

I will be bringing my horde of alts over but unless it becomes absolute dog water I will continue to main my resto shaman.
If you are a serious raider, then you want a ton of range dps for heroic rag.
Maybe rogue/mage/resto shaman for heroic spine and maybe boomie is good too. That said I dont believe for one second we get prenerf spine
Death grip os also a pretty strong utility on a few harder fights

I’ve been healer main for past like 7 years give or take. I still play alts tanks/dps, and in M+ I’ve played all roles, btu healer is by far my #1 preference for a role.
Been playing WoW for so long, that DPS is just boring to me. Tanking is roughly the same.
Healing is where fun at. Great healers carry. Like, 1 amazing DPS can’t really carry in 25m setting, but 1 healer totally can. I’ve got some nice healing logs for all phases.
Plus, i’m farming all pets/mounts/toys/achievements now. Have a lot of catching up to do though during Cataclysm. I skipped 2019 Classic (always hated vanilla) and only joined in TBCC and swapped to this Dru as main during BT/SWP.

Resto Shaman is GG in Cata. Spirit Link is prolly the best healing CD in the game. Good luck doing Heroic Spine without it.

I don’t plan to play it more than 1 month but it’ll be a hunter. I want to enjoy having energy on hunter again before I retire warcraft for good, something Blizzard wouldn’t give us for older versions.
Feral Druid - Fire Mage - MM Hunter
Sticking with mage. After having a (arcane) blast with WotLK, it’ll be nice to finally be able to switch from arcane to frost without compromising my DPS. Arcane is awesome, don’t get me wrong, but I love the AoE utility of frost. Fire doesn’t appeal to me that much.

Had a lot of fun back then, when I went thru at Cata release, rerolling all new characters.

Ret pal for sure. Can’t wait to get my grubby little hands on the elite sets cause they’re fiiiiiine.

Not decided yet. My main in wrath now is ret paladin so I might play that, but dk in cata looks so much more streamlined and no more weird morb spec for uh so I’m going to try that. But hunter and shaman are options as well, arms warrior possibly. I’ll probably just make my decision during prepatch.
Fire Mage main. Alts will be Spriest, Aff lock, Surv hunter, Ele sham.

Not sure if this has any barring on this topic, But I’ve not login to my main in a few weeks. been trying my hand at SoD. But this morning I went back to check on my main… I just noticed that his tool tray at the bottom of the screen as three new additions… at some point Blizzard added: a Mounts tab, a Toybox tab and a Heirlooms Tab which was never there before… or wasn’t there a few weeks ago. I was almost expecting to see a tramog or collection tab… but didn’t at least not yet.
Those tabs have been there for months now.
