There is no such thing as forced progression. I quit about 3 months into BfA. No one forced me to continue. I never played SL or DF. I was never forced to. I played classic until they told us no rdf. I quit for several months until they added it. During my time away no one made the slightest attempt to force me to play wrath without rdf. No one has ever experienced forced progression in wow.
No idiot, the binary is to choose the current or quit, which you did if you are actually being honest with me. At least until 2019 when classic came out. So by quiting you are acknowledging my point good on you.
once people realize they can’t faceroll heroic raid content the drop off will begin.
I though your point was.
Clearly since I quit there was no forced progression. You should look up “forced” in the dictionary. You really don’t understand what the word means.
Everyone forgets that cata retained 10million of the 12 million peak subs.
And it only dropped further from there.
I honestly think there are alot more permanent wrath classic era players out there. They just aren’t voicing their opinions.
Yeah 12 months after dragonsoul, don’t try and make it out cata it self was a flop, it retained 10million subs from the start until the severe content drought, with a small dip after the first patch, honestly not sure why.
Alot of people I knew quit after the nerfs came in and all that. As well as it just not having the classic charm anymore. No weapon skills. Progression. Anything.
And the hardest content patch for a bit was the zandalari heroics. And they nerfed all that to. The game just became to easy and just wasn’t as much fun.
It had it’s highlights. But they removed alot of what made wrath so special. Which is why I want wrath classic as a permanent option.
I do remember the nerfs, but due to the community outcry, funny enough the game since has become so sweaty that they are considering nerfing it again, full circle I guess.
No, the choices were 1) quit, 2) continue but, I know its hard to understand basic arithmatic for you, your brain is too smooth and small, you have yet to actually prove me wrong.
Except no, the 10m was the number re-subbing for mop, ~9m was the number for cata before mop, also known as losing as the 25% loss in player subs.
Exactly, there are choices. Having choices, and there are a lot of them both in wow and in the real world, is entirely different than, “forced progression.” Again, I suggest you look up, “forced” in a dictionary. If you could only do that you wouldn’t sound like a complete idiot.
Read it slowly I know its hard for someone as stupid as you are. If you play wow 2004-2020~ you had only one choice outside of p-servers and that was the expansion blizzard was on, so idiot if the expansion progressed that was forced progression, so just admit you are wrong as usual.
10.2 million or more played cata for 22 months. For the last 2 months of cata during the end of game content drought subs dropped to 9.1 million, for just 2 months. Cata was a massively successful expansion that dwarfed all other games on the market at that time. No other game came close in terms of popularity or profits.
I mean, theres alot of doomsayers on the opposite end to. Like wrath classic is stupid, and like I don’t think Permanent wrath classic is going to happen. Not enough of you guys. Sorry.
Like man. You folks shouldn’t get cata classic either. I honestly want both.
The re-sub was 1 million on prepatch to MOP, you are correct it dropped 1 million additional players 12 months after Dragonsoul.
Regardless the cycle went:
in the interest of perspective ill include MOP
in million
Cata
Q1 - 12
Q1 - 11.4
Q2 - 11.1
Q3 - 10.3
Q4 - 10.2
Q1 - 10.2
Q2 - 9.1
MOP
Q3 - 10
Q4 - 9.6
Q1 - 8.3
Q2 - 7.7
Still less successful than wrath which increased not decreased the number of subs, leaving with tbcs subs. But hay an attempt was made, so I will give you an E for effort. Who knows maybe in a few years you might be able to read and understand graphs at a middle school level.
You’re wrong again. Most people would be embarrassed to be wrong so often but I guess you’ve gotten used to it. Wrath flatlined at 11.5 million until the Cata pre-patch which raised subs 500 k.
So what you are saying is that something plateauing at 11.5m and increased to 12m is worse than losing 24% of subs, I am just unable to process how stupid you are. I am just saying I am worried about how stupid you are, concerned really about how you can be so stupid. I am just here to correct you since you are incapable of intelligence.
You have got to be the most stupid person posting on this forum. You can’t even comprehend a simple post. I made no value judgement as to which is worse or better. Before we can discuss which is worse we have to use the same numbers. I’m simply pointing out that you have consistently been wrong in the numbers you use. And when your error is pointed out you change the numbers you use to make a different error. Any idiot could look at the official numbers released by blizzard until WoD and simply use them. You’re either too lazy to look at the numbers preferring to pull numbers out your az or more stupid than an idiot because you constantly get those numbers wrong
