I don’t think anything about you. I only know what you post. You just posted you might keep your sub and play vanilla era if there’s no wrath era. And most of those posting here for wrath era have said something similar. I’m sure blizzard has looked at their data and guessed that most of those asking for wrath era will likely play a different version of wow and not unsub.
There’s a common sentiment I see going around, that I share, that a lot of us are going to massively unsub at the end of Wrath and protest via voting by wallet.
We may come back to classic, but it won’t be for a while; if at all.
I don’t predict the future. That may happen. But it’s definitely not a common sentiment here. I read the forum and remember what I read. Most of those asking for wrath era here have said they plan to play a different version of wow. And everyone I’ve talked to in game is planning on going to Cata. Honestly I’m surprised there’s so little outcry here for wrath era. I thought it would be as large as the outcry for Vanilla era or BC era. But it’s significantly less. Maybe the number is larger but players aren’t posting because they’ve given up due to no BC era. But what ever the reason I don’t see any common sentiment for unsubbing if no wrath era.
See you in Cata!
Wrath has zero longevity
Warmane only continues to exist because
- it’s free
- sunk-cost fallacy for eastern europeans who had to save for 10 months to buy a $150 shadowmourne, they can’t stop playing now
- PVE’ers can do tuned-up content, unlike classic which has almost always been nerfed compared to original
- instant-80 pvp realm
Because they promised Classic Era, they didn’t promise TBC or WotLK Era… Makes sense to me.
why do ppl claim nobody wants cata when thats just a lie?
As you just admitted, you don’t know what you are talking about…props on that.
PS, basically runs seasons. However, they do have an “era server” to transfer the season chacters. Or, you could choose just to play on the “era server” and ps we’re very popular, before blizz started the classic run. Most people, would prefer an official place to play…if it is available.
Don’t see how any of the his affects you…just run with what is left of the herd, no one says you have to play wrath era, if they end up having them. PS will pick up the slack and do a better job than this multi-billion company has done. Ashame really.
To be fair, there currently is an official place to play. Once that is gone, the ones that don’t leave blizzard permanently and don’t mind ps… will probably end up there.
cata naysayers shouldnt speak in anyone elses behalf
Some of us adults, (which sorry, not sorry classic should belong to us. That’s the point.) Don’t have time to advance and grind like we did when we were kids. We just want to enjoy our favorite game.
…So do to them the same thing that people like you are complaining is being done to them by not having Wrath Era servers?
Considering how much money Retail alone brings in, I imagine that Blizz might see that protest as little more than a rounding error.
A 15-year case of diaper rash from changes made to the expansion they’re incapable of seeing without a planet-sized pair of rose-colored glasses.
Under the constant thread of C&D since they’re copyrightinfringement.exe and not much else.
I don’t care about private servers or the thieves who play on them. The only thing I need to know about them is that the people who use the information have consistently been wrong when predicting the future of classic. Vanilla era was doa, and blizzard used that failure as part of their data to not have BC era or wrath era. I don’t even trust when people talk about ps since it’s clear now that people just lie about them anyway in what ever way supports their whiny begging for servers that won’t have enough players to make money. Since I’m not a thief and haven’t played on ps I can’t say you’re lying. But given how wrong people who play on ps have been here and how you’re another whiny beggar the odds are that you’re lying too.
That’s you taking out of context of what I said in a literal sense.
I stand behind expacs of all 10 kinds for every1; even if it means that it would dilute my Wrath with a fragmented playerbase.
I’d love nothing more than to force every1 to play Wrath so I have a thriving world around me…
But it’s not up to me to decide what version of WoW ppl want to play.
Classic at this point doesn’t exist as one single client, but instead as Classic Era, Hardcore, and the Seasonal Servers, so all three of those combined are more-then-likely higher pop than Wrath is alone. Hell, the Seasonal Servers can also serve as a testbed for new ideas the current people have without rocking the boat too much, while most of the Wrath players have generally been annoyed at some changes (Alpha/Beta/Gamma dungeons) or have been yelling at Blizz to get them added before they were when it was current content (Dungeon Finder) while people like you want them to be frozen in time, willing to play something tolerable but safe since going for something actually GOOD carries some sort of risk with it.
That’s not even including that you have effectively no support for your position, since
isn’t something that makes for a sold foundation, especially when personal bias plays this much of a factor.
no its not, comes out in summer like 5 months away, we had wotlk for almost 2 complete years lol, same rotation as normal retail expansions.
you can make all the anti cata threads on the forums , no one cares, just dont play it
We’re only going to have ~3 more months of ICC, if they actually make it 5 months I’ll be very very surprised.
bro they have a freaking road map, late end of winter, start of spring is PTR, pre patch late spring, summer will be actual release…
some people that make these threads don’t even know what they are talking about, I swear it’s just some vanilla andy’s chat gtp bot making random threads
It isn’t exact, all it shows is a rough outline of when Cataclysm will come, those times are subject to change it’s stated right on the roadmap “Content and timing subject to change”.
With WotLK bleeding so many players and with ICC being out for 4 months now, it taking another 5 is honestly an insane suggestion considering the longest phases we’ve gotten so far are only 6 months long. I expect ICC to break 6 months but what I don’t expect is that it lasts 5 more months.
I don’t think even Blizzard thinks having a 9 month ICC is a good idea.
They have SOD, that’s where most people are going till cata, and no, they gave pretty exact timeline lol, just half of the people on here don’t read twitter, don’t watch content creators where the developers give interviews.
they literally said what they are doing. They gave sod for the downtime, and people literally cried they wanted more time on WOTLK.
“cata coming too fast” bro its not even on PTR yet, and we’ve had wotlk for about the same time as retail wotlk was…
Sep 26, 2022, was when classic wotlk came out.
