When I try to make a new character on Grobbulus it only lets me make horde characters and won’t let me make new alliance ones

Same. Oddly enough, I was in the middle of creating an ally toon when this change happened earlier.

Log out, log back in, or delete a ally toon thats a lv.1 alt and remake.
It’s weird as I got ally and horde toons on Grobb, and I had this issue and deleting a garbo kv.1 toon
Not patched now i cant play the game with all my friends or buy aboost nice!
This is also happening to me. Not surprising coming from Blizzard.

Someone in chat suggested its locked due to faction imbalance, but it doesn’t make sense to restrict someone that already has a character of that faction on the server.
Faction unbalanced on Faerlina or Whiteman but i was able to create a new char on horde side while it was my first on this serv so dont get the point on Grob
No word on the cause of this? I am just not able to play a worgen? I’ve already deleted one toon and that didn’t help.
Issue exists for me as well.
No message about imbalance lock or anything, just all Alliance are greyed out. Can only create Horde. No issues on Whitemane or Atiesh at this time - just Grobbulus. Any confirmation this is an imbalance lock or something else?

Its been almost a full month now with no blue posts about the issue even being known about let alone fixed.

Same. Tragic. I decided I wanted to play with my friends on Cata.
Had a lvl 1 alliance Warlock as a place holder and wanted to change his appearance.
I deleted said character, and now I cannot create a alliance character and play with my guild.

same here deleted my rogue at lvl 1 to remake it and now its just grey, nothing online says its supposed to be like that, idk if its some weird auto mod they have thats trying to control the pop but shouldnt stop you if you already have ally toons
It does stop you, regardless. I have 3 I wanted to change the look of one, but I can’t make any new ones right now either. I’m wondering if it’s a particular time of day where it unlocks? Idk. As I had 2 characters, both ally and 1 horde. All of a sudden Ally was locked. Then a day ago it was open again.
For what it’s worth, I have been experiencing the same, but typically from 6:30pm or 7:00pm EST onwards I have been able to select Alliance and have made at least three characters this way.
