If the PC police are against something, I’ll suddenly become for it.

Bring back the cat call!

They really are great advertisers for the people they hate. I’ve bought a couple games just because people were mad about them and they all turned out to be pretty good.

Okay. How does anyone know that they changed the whistle because of the connotation?

Fun police detected.

When I was in my twenties it happened a lot. It’s not fun or sexy,it’s gross and usually done by douchy creepy men that need to shower. It makes you feel creeped out and unsafe at the same time. Why would anyone think a woman wants to be hit on walking down the street who is just minding her own business? They make bars and tinder for that sh*t.

I used to wolf whistle my succubus all the time and /flirt she loved it. Guess daddy can’t give his best girl all the attention she deserves anymore.

yes, because the silly dwarf thinks it isn’t harassment irl.
i was merely attempting to explain to them, that it is.

regardless, a “chestless transmog” is a choice… someone making unwanted lewd noises at you, is not a choice.

I think if you get offended by an in game wolf whistle, than you you have too much free time. I can get it if it was in real life, but in a computer game? Go moral grandstand on twitter.

There have been a couple of times I was creeped out in game, but not from whistling.

never bothered me because i have my music blasting while i play anyway. I see the emote… but i have better things to do than stress over someone drooling over my pixels.

It’s quite hilarious how one emote went from complimenting a player’s transmog to insulting them instead.

Times have changed fast. For the worse in this case.

Well i mean cat calling is harassment so. Walking around without a shirt isnt.

As innocent as I think the whistle emote was… this topic just seems hilarious.

“What the hell! You allow us to dress sexy but don’t allow us to sexually harass each other?!?”

Neither is socially acceptable in real life, but in the game there’s no consistency. I don’t want to see either gender’s nipples in real life and wolf whistling is just as bad.

I’ve been cat-called by women before, when I was wearing a nice suit in a part of town where people don’t usually dress like that. I thought it was pretty funny.

Crude men have nothing on the absolute savagery that women inflict on each other. So for her sake I hope some construction site rudeness doesn’t get to her because she’s going to get demolished by other women if so.

Regardless, Video Game =/= IRL. A whistle in game is about as meaningful as someone killing you in a BG. Neither actually happened to you in real life.
