Seriously…?
I know that this thread has a chance of being flagged for wrong think, but holy crap. Were are seriously so worried that muscular, 2% body fat avatars might get offended about walking around shirtless which might objectify our digital selves?
I’m NOT here to troll or to cause any kind of civil unrest on the forums, I’d just like to know what exactly was the reasoning behind removing the cat call whistle from the game??
EDIT:
fyi, I discovered this during a raid when a group member decided to get naked while we waited for everyone to get into the instance. I /whistled at the character, and noticed that the cat call was gone, apparently the fun police had to intervene.

We will answer your question if you tell us why you use it. Fair is fair. Besides you can do something 1000x worse by targeting them and use /em along with the most vulgar thing under the sun.
And yes you are trolling.

I never get hit on irl. Last time I had something like that remotely happen was 10 years ago.
Doesn’t matter what I wear or anything, can’t get men or even women for that matter to care.
Wish I could complain about cat calling

Because logic and self-righteous grandstanding are mutually exclusive.

Running around without your shirt off isn’t really the same thing as cat calling. Cat calling is sexual harassment.

I highly doubt it was “the SJWs.” It was probably done because the majority of the time the whistle is used in game for actual quests and interactions is when calling an animal. I imagine most people think it’s pretty weird to wolf whistle at a goat…

I am in control of how I dress. I am NOT in control of you treating me like meat.
See the difference?
Thank you.

This demeans what actual sexual harassment is. Cat calling is ill advised, disgusting behavior normally, but not harassment by legal definitions. Also, cat calling usually happens in public places so you have free speech issues.

Bro, I’ve been cat called by women twice this year. Don’t be sexist and think men have a monopoly on sexual expression or stupidity.

It doesn’t matter if it was by a woman or a man. Both are just as crass.
