Does anyone else feel this way? I love wow and pvp is the only reason I play but it’s so terribly balanced right now when I log on and immediately open pvp queues I hesitate or close the window. Sometimes I log off after closing the window and do something else.
I think out of my last 20 bg matches I’ve left 18 of them. The 2 I won were complete blowouts and not fun. Out of the 18 I left I’d say half were blowouts and half were stalemates because healers are so over powered. It isn’t fun. I did 21m damage to a disc priest and didn’t touch her health bar. I immediately alt f4d and went to bed because it was such a disgusting and terrible feeling.
It’s not fun when you play everything right and can’t down a healer because it’s so overtuned that they can’t be dropped while stunlocked. Idk what else to do other than quit the game. Arenas seem to be balanced fine but the solo queues are terribly long.
For all my time playing wow I’ve loved queuing random bgs but it’s not fun anymore. I don’t think blizzard is going to do anything to nerf healers. I think nerfing them in bgs or outright stopping healers from getting into casual queues is the only way to fix the problem. It’s a little extreme but idk if there’s another option.
I have one month left on my sub and I don’t think I’m reupping, which makes me sad because undermine is so cool and the world pvp in undermine is fun when there’s actually people on. It’s just a bad feeling that I have to let go of something I love because its future looks bleak. The only reason I’d consider continuing to play is because of the stupid fomo that shouldn’t be in the game that I’ve paid for and pay a subscription to play, but that isn’t enough to keep me around this time.
I just want PvP to be fun again.

100% I’ve seen so many errors in the span of 15 years. Yet what’s happening right now it’s a massive signal they don’t care not even a little bit. I cancelled my sub too ( I came back after a 4 years hiatus, this is not worth it at all)

Good. You shouldn’t be able to solo a healer as a dps unless they are afk. The rest sounds like burn out. Leaving BGs because they are one sided or stalemates means you aren’t looking to pvp to begin with because your point contradicts itself. WoWs pvp has always been since its inception on who out plays who. There are zero games on the market where you are going to get a perfectly balanced team or 1v1 scenario…EVER.
Take a break from the game and come back in a few months. I took a 5 month break and didn’t miss anything. I jumped right back in and caught up on everything within a week taking it slow. Good luck.

I agree—casual PvP (BGs and world PvP) just isn’t fun right now.
PvE and rated PvP lost their appeal to me a while ago, but solo queue random BGs used to work. The problem now is healing is way too strong. In 10-man BGs, two slots are for healers, but those two often decide the game. If your team gets fewer or undergeared healers, you’re basically screwed. Some specs (like Disc Priest) are just absurd—they take forever to kill, and with how graveyards work, fights feel stale and unfun.
Personally, I’d love a random BG mode for only DPS specs. Queues would probably be faster, and it’d be fun on pretty much any DPS.

Healing in rated battlegrounds and blitz is being reduced by 10% next week, just fyi.
Won’t help random battlegrounds but I’d recommend queueing for blitz over randoms anyway.

You think you want this…but you don’t.
I’m sure most of us agree that heals are too strong. But if you eliminate them entirely, some specs wouldn’t even get the chance to get their basic pve rotation off.

I wish they would make the adjustment in randoms because it’s needed. Healers wouldn’t be much of a problem if every class didn’t have a ton of self healing. I think that’s the biggest problem with healers being overpowered right now. Most matches are pre mades and they go on a rampage because people can keep themselves up while the healer is stunlocked.

Hard disagree, in many ways i think its been better balanced in DF and TWW than previous interations.
D* move
As a Warrior? And did no damage? You sure he didnt have another healer with him?
?
disc is getting nerfed hardcore day 25
and so is healing in general lol.

Play Blitz? It’s a much better version of random bgs. Even in low MMR brackets, Blitz is still fun. My hunter is playing in 1350 MMR bracket right now, it’s much much better than random bgs.

Stop quitting games. Use ‘casual’ PvP to learn to play your class effectively and how to counter classes effectively. Healers aren’t designed to be 1v1’d, so you should never ( assuming equal skill ) be able to 1v1 a healer.
Edit: Also, if you’re queue’ing epic BGs, just stop doing that. Use them for honor to gear toons and leave it at that. You won’t get any better at the game spamming epics

there is nothing in pvp that involves outplaying half of these fomo classes though theres no interupts they can heal while ccd half the time what is the outplay ? kick them on the instant cast they are overtuned and if you refuse to acknowledge that you are just trolling.

Stop going for the healers. Save your CCs and chain CC the healer when you see a kill opportunity.
Yes. It’s pretty bad. Probably why so many opt for the FoTM play style.
Hard to “learn” when your fighting full BiS 5 man premades on Discord who are running over pugs
Nah ill continue to quit any game I deem a premade when we don’t have one on our team and relog and re-q

I don’t understand any of this.
You can’t solo healers in a BG… In a BG. Why would you ever have to? And even if you were alone, of course you can’t. If you could solo a healer quickly or easily there’d be no point to healers.
You left 18 out of 20 matches? That’s insane. You should really just quit. I’m not even being salty, but people that develop the habit of quitting every BG that isn’t an immediate faceroll are becoming a serious issue. It’s always been a think, but I saw 20 people leave an IoC the other day.
It can be hard to have a constructive conversation with someone who says something like, “I leave almost every BG I do because I can’t easily solo healers”. I don’t know how to respond other than saying that this game clearly isn’t for you and you may want to try playing some sort of FPS with cheats enabled.

I run in to that so infrequently that I can’t even see how that’s a mindset someone has.
Unless you’re talking about epics, which I rarely do
If you hang around the pvp forums long enough you’ll get the Big Pillow achievement. I forget the post number, but it’s the first step in the Big Pillow chain. I think Kennie has the top atm, with the Ultimate Big Body Pillow, but that is like 50k posts, so some work.
Anyway, that means when you’re losing in a BG (or any pvp, really) you have a Big Pillow to hug and make ya feel better. So, hang around long anough and you’ll leave less BGs, cause PvP can be hard and Big Pillow helps.
Q up buttercup!
Edit: Narrator’s voice: He made up the Big Pillow achievement. Stop leaving BGs.

I agree and only started noticing this in DF. I didn’t play SL so not sure if it was as bad then too. Today it is really bad and IMO a much worse issue than “premades.”
Cool, that’s your experience.
It’s about 25% of my games. Enough for me to remember it.
Epic BGs its about 50/50
