Cash Shop implementation

Just curious, do you consider the BC pre-patch to be Vanilla?

Technically yes, design-wise not. 1.12 brought no content except a questionable rogue rework yet a few things were broken in preparation to TBC, specifically VA and cross-realm BGs were a clear TBC philosophy. This is why I don’t really like that we get 1.12 based patch but technically Blizzard in their rights as it’s vanilla even if the evidence points to the countrary. But it was still a lvl 60 based patch with old talents and skills.

Speaking only for myself, I do not.

IMO, 1.x patches are vanilla.

IMO, 2.x patches are TBC. Did the TBC pre-patch add access to the 41 point talents, even though players were still capped at 60?

It’s is worth nothing that Blizzard themselves used the term “between 1.1 and 1.12” when discussing Classic.

I’m here from the future to save gaming! There are two possible futures for gaming. The continued support of mtx after the crash of 2018 leads to consoles and PCMR losing the war to those phone gamers. There is no other gaming except mobile phone gaming in the future. It costs 3000 credits just to log in to a remade version of pong that you pay every time you score or are scored on in addition to log in fees, subscription fee, and you have to but various cosmetic pings just to play.

This can not come to pass! We must alter the future for betterment of gaming!

The other future is where developers realized that players were onto mtx and milking practices. Which caused a game revolt. Many companies struggled. Some even wiped out completely. Others started making engaging gameplay and stopped milking the playerbase. Gamers moves into a golden age of gaming and everyone lives happily ever after.

Now. All fun and games aside. Do you see what you are promoting? Stop. Just stop. This industry has slid far enough. Stop encouraging them to make games that milk the player base. We want old school engaging game play. Good games. Not slot machines that are milking addictive personality disorders…

Darn kids. Get off my lawn!

`https://wow.gamepedia.com/Landro_Longshot So this shows he was implemented 1/9/07 Which by your words “Technically yes” is vanilla.

So you’re just going to ignore what Blizzard themselves called it.

Cool, cool.

and wowhead shows a different date, I’m curious how the data was found in both cases.

Honestly no matter how long we go back and forth on it, in the end is we’re arguing about a philosophical opinion on what was considered vanilla and what wasnt.

“yes we are” there.

According to that site, the TBC pre-patch was released Dec. 5, 2006

Scroll down to the bottom.

Notice that every 2.x patch, including that patch 2.0.1 TBC pre-patch, is listed as TBC.

The good news is they have professionals and medication to help with this egoistic behavior. For some the desire to always be right is simply embedded in their collective psyche.

Is it better to be right or be happy ? Letting go is not giving up. Accept the fact that you can control only your own actions and thoughts. We can not control what others believe or think.

Let it go and settle for happiness.

Cash shops are for game companies that don’t know how to make enjoyable games.

Falnear believes that patch 1.12 was the TBC pre-patch but liked your post calling Patch 2.0.1 the TBC pre-patch.

Hmm, odd.

Yeah, reading is hard for some people, I guess.

On the other side of this. When you’re looking at the sky and you know it’s blue but someone keeps insisting that it’s neon green that is not about being right or ego. That is the brain reacting to an attempt at rewriting data that our receptors are still showing the truth and fighting the reprogramming.
Now if you’re taking about someone who is displaying willful ignorance when confronted by mountains of irrefutable facts. Than I’d say that is ego and a need to always be right but that’s not every case everytime.
Also just allowing misinformation to spread unchecked is going to lead to idiocracy.

Do you guys all work for Activision or something? Trying to spread propaganda in the Classic forums? Nobody wants a cash shop in Classic WoW.

Let me rephrase that…
Nobody who is going to play Classic WoW wants a cash shop in Classic WoW!

Please no cash shop. Just make all pets and mounts available in game. Cost of development, maintaining servers, and customer service should all be covered with the sub fees. This is not a free to play game, there should be no micro transactions, and lets be real 25 USD for a pet or mount is anything but micro…
