I know many of you no longer have your Carrot on a Stick. I would like to ask Blizzard to give those players another chance to obtain this item. Some of us are new to the game whilst others have returned, who now need this item due to new in game requirements for certain events.

Try the item restore feature and see if it’s still available to restore. It works for classic characters, I just tested it. If not, try asking a GM nicely for it back. They can easily check to see if you completed the quest or not.
Also, only a fool would ever sell their carrot on a stick…

How is Carrot on a Stick a requirement? For all of vanilla it pretty much sat in my bank. Seems the same for classic. I cbf to have it in my bags taking up space for that 1 in a million scenario where it makes a small difference.
I know tryhards use it in tandem with other mount speed increases, but unless everyone in your group is using it there’s no point. If you need this for AV Drek rushing, it still doesn’t matter. It’s only 3%. And if you get ahead of the zerg, you’ll just have to wait for them anyway.

I’ve opened two tickets, both requests declined as its gone over the allowed time to restore an item 
open more tickets

It is BIS until Skycaptain whip in TBC.
No wonder it takes them forever to address tickets when you have people putting in multiple requests for the same issue that they have to sift through.

It’s really not noticeable, you can ride side by side with someone who has it and they won’t get ahead. Besides you’ll want other trinkets which are needed in combat.

I would not and will not ever get rid of carrot. I think the only reason i got rid of it in actual vanilla is they nerfed it i think to not work after 60? Something like that anyways.
If they wont restore it I suggest a reroll.

I use this along with the mithril spurs and glove enchant to chase down allies in world pvp. It really doesn’t matter much now.
What are you using this for that the 3% matters now? Yes, you could try a ticket. Getting the carrot back from a help ticket is WAY more likely than the game getting changed.

If you use Itemrack, you can set up gear sets that you can switch to with 1 button. I have a ‘Riding Set’ that I almost always use when mounted (you can even set up ItemRack to do this automatically when you mount/dismount). So I have Carrot, a set of boots with Mithril Spurs, and a set of gloves with riding skill enchant. They all stack.
With all 3 equipped you move SIGNIFICANTLY faster than those without. It’s perfect for running enemies down in PvP as well as being able to escape when being chased.
You should be able to get this restored. DON’T EVER DELETE YOUR CARROT.

For grinding out in the world it saves a bit of time, you just need an add-on like itemrack where you can make a one button gearset to get all the riding buff gear on instantly and it becomes worth it
It’s not significant, but it is noticible. You definitely feel it
