Yesterday I saw a Druid cap the flag at IWB invisible . He turned visible in the last second before the flag capped so ofcourse nothing could be done.

He turned visible during the cap…maybe he was just in prowl?

No I don’t have any video . I was staring at the flag which turned just as he became visible.
Shouldn’t capping break invisibility as soon as it starts ?

Prowl is the Druid stealth ability.
You’re right that it should break stealth when you start to cap, so that’s the mystery- why did it only break at the end?

It’s possible they had a Rogue friend. They Shadowy Duel you. Lasts 5 seconds. You are unable to see the Druid for the duration.

It’ll turn you invisible after standing still long enough while capping and not taking damage.

So it does not break when you start capping ?
It initially breaks whenever you start capping the flag, but mid way while capping it, if you aren’t damaged and since you are standing still, it’ll restealth you.
I’ve done stuff like this in Darkmoon Arena or Stranglethorn Vale arena to ninja the chest, works like a charm and funnily enough works on flags in PvP.

That’s not what happened . I was staring at the flag , he only broke stealth after 5 secs right before the flag turned .

Yeah, if he capped it while invisible it really does sound like a Potion of Concealment, or maybe Mass Invisibility is affecting those capping flags too. It’s one of those it sounds like.
It was shadow duel. Confused me too the first time it happened to me. Had to record it and watch it again lol.

It is rogue but sometimes rogues will use Shadowy Duel on someone not engaged in combat with them specifically just so that they can escape. If a rogue uses it on someone fighting them, they’re still gonna chase the rogue and kill them, where as if they use it on someone like a druid who’s not paying attention to them, they can get away easy. It’s like another vanish.
