Can't we just have an expansion without 100s of systems?

Interesting, because I haven’t seen them that high in awhile. Even during peak play time.

And I’m not seeing any complaints about having to wait for hours to log in anymore…

I am skeptical of your statement

Depends on server. My server is Leviathan and between 4-12-ish when everyone is home from work/school, ques go way up. I 90002 dc’d last night and got put into a que of 2400 around 7 eastern.

Next power up to follow the AP system will be Alien powah :sunglasses:

And now they’re fundamentally asking to play WoD again.

And we know how that turned out. It’s why we ended up here.

Should players not be upset over this? This seems like a thing that players who don’t raid should justifiably be upset over. “Go acquire power in this zone, but leave it at the door when you go to do your dungeons, or when you go back to your covenant sanctums/zones.”

Unfortunately they already do, and it shows.

You aren’t understanding my point.

There’s a type of player in this game who complains about everything. They complain about the game being “raid or die” even when raiding is the worst content in the game (as in Shadowlands, especially 9.0). They complain that they want “more content” but every form of content that has EVER been added to the game, they turn up their noses and say “no, that’s not content”.

They don’t want to do quests. They don’t want to do dungeons. They don’t want to raid. They don’t want to PvP. They don’t want to explore. They don’t want to hunt down rare treasures, mobs, secrets, etc.

They don’t want to do anything. They just keep screeching on the forums like a band of harpies “we need more content”. And every time content is added, they say “I don’t want to have to do that.”

Now we get to Zereth Mortis, which is new content that they “don’t have to do” because all it does is make them better in Zereth Mortis.

And I guarantee you that the same cadre of complainers is just going to say, again, “That’s not content.”

Having maybe a couple of things to work on is ok and fun regarding character power wise besides gear, more than that I am feeling it’s just a way to keep me busy that isn’t that interesting.

I so hope you are right.

Legion’s Weapon system actually was pretty easy to deal with-- A secondary talent tree tied to a single item. And it baffles me they didn’t continue on this path.

Everything else since feels convoluted and messy.

My only real complaint for the Weapon system was the lack of options to give more player agency.

i’m well over 1400 days /played last i saw before having to reformat my drive… altoholic is still showing over 1100 days currently- minus all those toons i deleted over the 17yrs.

no more power crap!

Where does the highest item level gear in the game come from again? What is the one form of content that always gets new instances every major patch of every xpac? On what grounds is raiding the worst form of content?

The rewards aren’t worth it and the stories aren’t engaging.

I love M+, but even I’m getting bored of the same ones for over a year now.

I want to raid. I just don’t want to run Sanctum again, and I don’t want to have to grind a half-baked two color scheme zone for over a month to acquire power for the raid.

I want to enjoy pvp but it’s difficult with the lack of balance tuning, the state of matchmaking and the prevalence of boosting, and just the sheer lack of any kind of communication from the Devs on any of the issues in PvP.

No, I don’t want to hunt down rare mobs and secrets that give me the same mount or pet I’ve already collected with a slightly different color scheme. You’re absolutely right.

I promise you the most complained about aspect of Zereth Mortis will be the time gating, specifically in regards to flying. Something I’m indifferent on.

I just hope the zone is more exciting than Korthia; we’re likely stuck with it for another 8+ months.

Mythic raiding, Mythic+ dungeons, and PvP.

How do I get my 259s here?

I liked that too. The first time just to lvl 54 or so and then they revamped it for a procc buff up to 75 and if you wanted minor upgrades you chose to grind more. I think it was like that and it was not feeling like mandatory at all.

Ah, I see. You don’t understand how raid gearing works.

Plus the Netherlight Crucible.

No, no. I’d quite prefer if you keep the goalposts where they were please.

What form of content drops the highest item level gear again? Simple question.

Mythic raids, Mythic+ dungeons, and PvP.

For me, it’s possible to get 4 pieces of gear off the last 2 bosses that are 7 item levels higher. Out of 16 gear slots. It’s a trivial difference, and I get more character power out of my M±exclusive items like my Blood-Spattered Scale.

You seem to be one of those people who think that KT & Sylvanas have 16 items on their loot tables for every spec. They don’t. Just FYI.

It absolutely wasn’t. I went into Legion at 7.3 and was able to get all of the talents unlocked in a little over a month. After that, there wasn’t a need to grind for that little bit of extra power.

I didn’t even do it.

Well, I suppose it’s easy to say the old expansions didn’t have “systems” if you ignore their systems.
