Can't wait for the Monk hero talent tree interview

You probably get this all the time, but this was the smartest post ever written on the Monk forums.

Thank you for several good belly laughs today!

Instead of summoning statues we should be summoning their spirit and influence like how we can summon the extra fighters as ww.

Imagine if instead of a tiger statue this wire frame enlarged image of a tiger surrounded you while you fought. Or instead of an ox you get this big frame of an ox around you snorting and pointing it’s horns instead of.

That’s how the summoning should be. Invoking spirits in form not pulling a big statue out of the ether. Ox gold, tiger white, crane blue, dragon green, monkey red, etc.

Monkey?

The Chi’ji is red and Xuen is blue.

You need to ask yourself what are the celestials. All they are, are wild gods. They are no different than the loa like Hakkar/Rezan or the other wild gods like Ursoc/Malorne.

The only difference lore wise, would be the origin of the wild gods. Some, like the August Celestials, are directly related to the Titans and when they first came to order Azeroth.

Don’t let the diction the devs use trick you, they have said the talents, at the moment, are generic titles to begin with just to generally map out potential options. On top of that, at least with its planned iteration, they won’t change things fundamentally to classes.

We see many other classes/individuals invoke, and call upon their gods/cosmic power related entities to empower them, and I’m sure it won’t be any different for monks.

So far, the hero talents that have been previewed dramatically change how specs play (for the worse). Paladins are looking at Lightwell 2.0 while Blood DKs are seeing their main tanking CD turned into a throughput button and their entire rotation rebuilt around it.

Instead of statues, can we get Diablo 3’s Wave of Light? Would be pretty satisfying to drop a giant bell on someone

Consider about their IQ, surely they’ll add more keys to press.

Based on what I’ve seen so far of the other hero talents, I’m not holding out any hype or excitement.

Every time the devs touch MW I feel like watching someone fumbling with a hand grenade.

I still say they will “forget” about the WW interview.

And if I am wrong they will go with Venruki as the person to interview.

I firmly believe they will only reveal the monk new trees a week before 11.0 hits.

And then tell us “there isn’t enough time” to revise them before release. At least one monk hero talent will be NYI until 11.0.5.

Maybe a miracle will happen, and they’ll give us whomever worked on the Frostfire tree.

I don’t know that that would be a good thing. While the frost fire tree looks fantastic, it very heavily favors one spec over the other. If I was playing a fire mage, I’d be looking at the other choice first.

I’d like a faerie dragon pet… I don’t like the idea of pets or summons but design wise something is needed to prevent capturing nodes in PvP… Which is why I need the summon and statue. I don’t like that I need it so maybe it’s kind of insulting to those who don’t PvP to get some customization for the things they don’t want. But at least it’s something I guess…

Lol devs will double down on Touch of death

Or maybe an entire tree devoted to Chi Wave.
