Never really thought about just how little music vanilla had until classic came out. I love the original score but there’s so little of it, I’m ready to hear BC’s soundtrack.

I was also surprised at how little unique tracks there are in vanilla! Sure, everyone remembers “elwynn music” but I forgot it was also redridge music, hinterlands music, Westfall music, hillsbrad music, and I’m sure a bunch more.

I’ve heard a lot of the music budget in classic went to unique tavern themes for every race lol, the zones seem like they share a lot of music.
I do like that Song of Elune track in vanilla though.
I got so tired of the (good) classic music that I gave the Ambience tracks a chance.
I really like the Ambience track for Hinterlands, especially at night:
Crickets, the gentle crashing of waves on the shore, the distant howling of wolves…
Nagrand has such an epic soundtrack. If there’s one good thing to come from retail it’s the 2019 “Safe Haven” cinematic, knew in the first 10 seconds it was Nagrand from the music they paid tribute to. I can’t wait to go back!!
on a cursory youtube listen of the song in Honor Hold, which turns out to be based on a famous Chopin piece called Nocturne! Incredible, it was such a haunting song that really got stuck in my head.
