I am trying to unlock Zandalari Troll and Mag’har Orc race. I went to start the Zanalari Forever quest series and Tides of Vengeance but I can not start the war campaign in Zandalar. I went to Chromie in Orgrimmar and when I talk to him to make sure I am in the right time he says I have to go do something in IceCrown and will not let me change my timeline. I have no quests in Icecrown. I am level 60 and have been doing the new shadowlands content, I have no need what so ever to be in IceCrown.
So after looking at my achievement list is says that I have completed Zandalar Forever! on my old rogue who has since been renamed and is now alliance on a different server. It is saying that I have also completed “The Final Seal” achievement. But in the character creation it says I have not done these achievements. So it looks like the achievement I actually need to do is the “Tides of Vengeance” I am a bit confused because when I used to play horde as that rogue I could have sworn I did all these achievements already. Regardless, still cant change chromie time to begin anything, but do I really have to do the whole entire War Campaign over again just because I faction changed after completing it? I have done both alliance and horde war campaigns like 10 times on different characters already…
The same thing is happening with the quest Vision of Time to unlock Mag’har Orc. It says to go to zandalar to talk with Chief Telemancer Oculeth, but they are not here but I see the quest “?” in the minimap. The only NPC that is here is Eitrigg, an orc. That when I talk to him he shows me a window with all the information for Mag’har Orcs and it is showing the Ready for War achievement completed and all requirements met but I still do not have this race unlocked.
I put in a very descriptive ticket regarding this issue and was directed to check wowhead…so I am pretty frustrated because a solution on wowhead is no where to be found and I think it is pretty lame I basically get ignored by support while having a major in game issue. The webticket is listed with a 19day response time…really?
Yes, because you’re asking for a game hint. Game Masters are expressly forbidden from giving those out should they wish to remain employed. Responses for things they can help with are actually hovering around the four-day mark, or so-- the estimated time displayed is currently a bug.
Do you have any allied races unlocked already, and what is the name-realm combination of the character you used to accomplish that?
And what is the name-realm of the character you’re attempting to unlock the Horde allied races on now?
“Zandalar Forever!” and “The Final Stand” completed and earned by my rogue when he was horde, hes now renamed and alliance. It says in red on those achievements “not completed by Zojaruuk” my druid I am trying to unlock these on. I thought achievements are account wide now?
For ZTroll, That would mean that I need to do Tides of Vengeance achievement. I can not do this achievement because I can not start the War Campaign because I am having a bug with Chromie where I am stuck in Icecrown time. When going to Zandalar there are no quests to start the war campaign. With no in game direction or either a quest to complete to get the option to change timelines to the present to start the war campaign.
For Mag’har Orc I have the quest Vision of Time but when I go to Zandalar city the NPC Chief Telemancer is not there at all. He is not showing up. Only npc Eitrigg, that when speaking to him it shows I have Ready for War completed and all requirements for Mag Orc completed to unlock the race, but I can not advance any quest. If the quests were not bugged I would have no problem completing them as I have unlocked all but mech gnome allied races on alliance and horde vulpura. Asking why a quest giver is literally not viable is not asking for a game hint. It’s asking why is my quest/achievements bugged.
I am not asking for a game hint. The whole reason I play this game is to try to figure out how to do quests without any addons or guides. I am not asking how to complete a quest. I am saying that I can not advance or complete an achievement because either NPC or quest is bugged and can not advance. There is a huge difference. This seems like an in game tech problem where my achievements, chromie, and quests are bugged. Turning of addons did nothing. With this level of technical confusion for what one would think a linear simple step by step action to just unlock a race would you want to scour the web to try to fix this? I need a GM to look into if my character is bugged, not do a quest for me.
I am having a similar issue.
I have completed the embassy quest lines, and I show the achievements are completed at the embassy where I look at the race, but at character creation, it says I’m missing the achievement. Highmountain Tauren.
I completed the quest line for the Mag’har Orcs too, but it shows I need ready for war achievement, which I earned on an alliance character.
If you check out the progress on the Attunements page of WoWhead, you should have a fairly good idea of where you are in the questlines. Just ignore the reputation requirements, but the rest should show where you are. It looks like your rogue hasn’t completed the three story areas for Zandalar, and is working through the war campaign. https://www.wowhead.com/attunement#us-proudmoore-adinlynril
If you pull up Theslaya on WoWhead’s attunements page, it shows that you’ve got everything for Highmountain Tauren… you might be in the middle of the questline to recruit them as an allied race, though. Have you checked around Highmountain to see if you have any quest exclamation marks there?
Chromie will only switch to a specific timewalking campaign up to level 50. You can go back to an area any time though. It looks like you completed “Speaker of the Horde” are you still having trouble questing?
Did you complete the achievement Horde side? If I recall many of the Legion Allied Races requirements aren’t account wide like they are with Battle for Azeroth.
That doesn’t seem to be entirely accurate anymore Vrak. I have a character in the middle of the unlocking darkiron dwarves and the achievement required wasn’t done on an alliance character at all. Only on horde side.
Its 2025 and I am having the same problem with this achievement. I did most of the requirements on my alliance character then switched to a horde character to do the other half. It shows all the quests are completed and I have credit for them. I used quest completest to make sure. My problem is the npc King Rastakhan does not show up in the location needed to acquire the next quest.
